▤ Du Maroilles pour la Journée Internationale du Fromage

Hier c'était le Nailstorming, et bien que j'ai eu fini mon nail art, je n'ai pas le temps d'écrire mon article. Voici donc un peu en retard mon nail art dédié au fromage pour la "Journée Internationale du Fromage".

Yesterday it was the Nailstorming, and even though I had finished my nail art, I did not have time to write my article. So here is a bit late my nail art dedicated to cheese for the "International Cheese Day".

Ce nail art en fait était pour l'anniversaire d'Aline_éa qui organise le Nailstorming tous les dimanches. Comme elle a également proposé le thème du fromage pour le Nailstorming, deux jours plus tard, je n'ai pas jugé bon de faire deux nail arts fromagers dans la même semaine.

This nail art actually was for the birthday of Aline_éa who organizes the Nailstorming every Sunday. As she also proposed the cheese theme for the Nailstorming, two days later I did not want to do two cheesy nail arts in the same week.

D'ailleurs initialement, j'avais prévu de faire un plateau de fromages sur mes ongles avec chaque ongle différent. Puis j'ai finalement décidé de m'inspirer de la croûte du Maroilles.

Besides, in the first place, I had planned to make a cheese tray on my nails with each nail different. Then I finally decided to take inspiration from the crust of Maroilles.

Pour la réalisation de ce nail art, j'ai tout d'abord posé le jaune pastel "Banana Split" de Models Own. Il est opaque en trois couches et est un peu chiant à poser comme tous les vernis à ongles pastels.

For the realization of this nail art, I first posed the pastel yellow "Banana Split" of Models Own. It is opaque in three layers and is a bit annoying to lay like all the pastels nail polishes.

Puis, j'ai finalement fait un sponging, comme ce que j'aurais du faire pour le Nailstorming d'il y à deux semaines...

Then I finally did a sponging, like what I should have done for the two weeks ago's Nailstorming ...

Pour cela, j'ai posé aléatoirement "Peach Melba" de Models Own, et "All Tied Up" d'essie. Puis pour finir quelques touches de "Porcelain ll" de Sèche.

To do so, I randomly used "Peach Melba" by Models Own, and "All Tied Up" by essie. Then to finish, some touches of "Porcelain ll" from Sèche.

Enfin, j'ai appliqué une couche de top coat classique et deux couches de Sèche Vite. Puis avant que celui-ci ne soit totalement sec, avec un morceau de papier assez épais, j'ai fait des "tranchées" en appuyant plusieurs fois à chaque endroit. Et voilà !

Finally, I applied a layer of regular top coat and two coats of Sèche Vite. Then before it was completely dry, with a piece of paper thick enough, I made "trenches" by pressing several times at the same spot. There you go !

✵ "Fawns Furry Friends" d'Eat Sleep Polish

Yesterday, I showed you the lovely "Belle Of The Ball" from the very pretty collection "Fairies & Princesses Part 2" from the canadian indie brand Eat Sleep Polish, I keep going today with "Fawns Furry Friends".

"Fawns Furry Friends" est un joli vernis pêche au shimmer rosé, il est holographique. J'en porte ici 4 très fines couches, mais il sèche très vite donc ce n'est pas un souci. Tu peux aussi le porter sur un orange ou un blanc par exemple.

"Fawns Furry Friends" is a lovely peach, it is holographic and has a pinky shimmer. According to the opacity you're looking for, two layers may be enough. I wear here 4 very thin layers, it dries very quickly so it's not an issue. You can also wear it over orange or white, for example.

Je ne suis pas une grande fan de vernis orangés, celui-ci est donc celui de la collection que j'aime le moins, mais je trouve celui quand même très mimi et je pense que je n'hésiterais pas à le porter cet été !

I'm not a big fan of orange nail lacquers, therefore, it's the one from the collection I like the least, but I still find it really cute and I think I won't hesitate to wear it this summer!

Celui-ci doit son nom à une fée : "Fawn" qui est une amie de la fée Clochette et qui protège les animaux, d'où le nom "Furry Friends" (amis à fourrure).

This one is named after a fairy "Fawn" which is a friend of Tinkerbell and protects animals, hence the name "Furry Friends".

Cette collection est composée de 6 vernis tous dédiés à des princesses ou des fées, elle est idéale pour l'été et j'ai hâte d'arborer ces couleurs vives lorsqu'il fera enfin beau.

This collection has 6 nail polishes all dedicated to princesses or fairies, it's ideal for summer and I cannot wait to wear those bright colors when at last it will be sunny.

Il y à déjà une partie 1 à cette collection, je ne l'ai pas mais elle est composée de 5 vernis et est toujours disponible sur le site de la marque si tu veux.

Comme chaque dimanche, on se retrouve aujourd'hui pour le nailstorming. Cette semaine, le thème est : "Mon Métier ou Mon Métier de Rêve".

Like every Sunday, we meet today for the nailstorming. This week's theme is: "My Job or My Dream Job." 

Bon, moi j'ai un gros problème, je suis une touche à tout, et malgré mon "âge avancé", je ne sais toujours pas ce que je veux faire plus tard, sauf que plus tard = maintenant !

Well, I have a big problem, I'm kind of a jack of all trades, and despite my "advanced age", I still don't know what I want to do later, except later is now !

Pendant six mois, je veux être décoratrice d'intérieur, puis je veux intégrer l'armée, puis, je veux être prof d'anglais, puis je veux être photographe, puis je veux être maquilleuse professionnelle, enfin bref, ça n'arrête jamais !!!

For six months, I want to be an interior designer, then I want to join the army, then I want to be an English teacher, then I want to be a photographer, then I want to be a professional makeup artist, in short, it does never stop !!! 

Non pas, que je ne sache pas ce que je veux faire dans la vie, au contraire, je veux faire tellement de choses ! Et je n'arrive pas à me fixer sur un seul métier, je trouve ça vraiment triste en fait de devoir faire la même chose toute sa vie.

No, that I don't know what I want do with my life, on the contrary, I want to do so many things ! And I cannot settling on only one trade, I find it really sad having to do the same thing throughout our life.

J'ai quand même un vrai métier de rêve, c'est de bosser dans l'humanitaire, et de me rendre utile. Je devais partir l'année prochaine en mission d'ailleurs mais pour l'instant, je n'ai pas de suite...

I still do have a real dream job, it is to work into humanitarian and making myself useful. By the way, I should go next year on a mission but for now, it's on hold...

Donc, aujourd'hui, j'ai décidé de te parler plutôt d'un métier que j'ai exercé pendant six ans : barman. Je trouvais que c'était un métier sympa à illustrer en nail art, et ce fût une bonne expérience professionnelle pour moi !

So today I've decided to talk to you instead of a profession that I've worked for six years : bartender. I thought it was a fun job to illustrate as a nail art, and it was a good professional experience for me ! 

Pour cela, j'ai tout d'abord réalisé un dégradé utilisant les couleurs du célèbre et délicieux cocktail "Sex On The Beach". J'ai choisi les sublimes néons de la collection "A Night In Vegas" de Pipe Dream Polish : le rose "On The List", et le orange"110 Degrees".

To do so, I first realized a gradient using the colors of the famous and yummy cocktail "Sex On The Beach". I chose the gorgeous neons from the collection "A Night In Vegas" of Pipe Dream Polish : the pink "On The List" and the orange "110 Degrees".

Ensuite, et c'est là que ça se complique, j'ai utilisé des nails stickers de chez Claire's. C'est une planche contenant pleins de verres à cocktails tout mimi que j'avais acheté en soldes (heureusement).

Then, and this is where it's getting complicated, I used some nails stickers from Claire's. This is a board full of cute cocktails drinks designs, I bought on sale (thankfully).

Voilà ils ont beaux être mimi, ils sont tout pourris... J'ai posé une couche de top coat après avoir posé les nails stickers, et là ils se sont tous racornis sur eux-même, donnant un effet horrible, et surtout importable... J'ai donc du enlever mon joli nail art tout de suite après l'avoir posé :/
 
They might be cute, but they are crappy... I put a layer of top coat after placing the nails stickers, and they all shriveled on themselves, giving an ugly effect, especially unwearable... so I had to remove my pretty nail art right after asking it :/

♀ Journée de Lutte Contre les Violences faîtes aux Femmes // Nailstorming

Aujourd'hui, c'est dimanche et c'est donc le jour du Nailstorming. Cette semaine, le thème est dédié à la "Journée de Lutte Contre les Violences faîtes aux Femmes".

Today, it is Sunday and it is the day of the Nailstorming. This week, the theme is dedicated to the "Day Against the Violences done to Women".

On est toutes concernées, cela peut nous arriver à toutes, et sans rentrer dans trop de détails, j'ai moi-même été harcelée par un ancien petit ami, et je ne le souhaite à personne. Je tenais donc d'autant plus à participer aujourd'hui, même si je ne suis pas du tout à plaindre !

We are all concerned, this can happen to all of us, and without getting into too many details, I was myself harassed by a former boyfriend, and I would not wish it on anyone. So I wanted to participate especially today, even if I am not at all to complain !

J'ai donc décidé d'utiliser le orange le plus voyant de ma vernithèque (j'en ai pas 40 en même temps), et c'est donc le très beau orange néon "110 Degrees" de Pipe Dream Polish que j'ai utilisé sur mon pouce, mon index, et mon auriculaire.

So I decided to use the orange the most bright of my stash (I don't have 40 at the same time), and so, it's the beautiful neon orange "110 Degrees" from Pipe Dream Polish which I used on my thumb, my index finger and my pinky. 

Sur le majeur et l'annulaire, j'ai décidé de réaliser un double accent nail. J'ai utilisé "Blanc" d'essie en base. Puis j'ai choisi des fleurs comme symbole de la féminité. Je ne suis pas trop fleurs personnellement, mais je trouve que ça collait bien au thème.

On the middle and ring fingers, I decided to make a double accent nail. I used "Blanc" from essie as a base. Then I chose flowers as a symbol of feminity. I'm not really into flowers personally, but I found that it fitted well with the theme.

Hier c'était le nailstorming sur le thème "Gourmandises d'automne", malheureusement, j'ai été assez occupée ce week-end, du coup c'est avec un peu de retard que je participe aujourd'hui.

Yesterday was the nailstorming about "Fall Treats" topic. Unfortunately, I was pretty busy this weekend, so it is with some delay that I participate today.

Et cela faisait longtemps que je voulais réaliser un nail art "Candy Corn" je me suis dit que ce serait l'occasion parfaite !! J'ai toujours eu envie de goûter ces bonbons américains qui sont vendus en Automne tous les ans.

It's been awhile since I wanted to make a "Candy Corn" nail art, I thought it would be the perfect occasion !! I always wanted to taste those American sweets that are sold during Autumn each year.

Les "Candy Corn" sont des bonbons très populaires aux États-Unis. Pour la recette, c'est un mix de sucre, sirop de maïs et de cire de carnauba. Ils représentent des grains de maïs d'où leur petit nom.

The "Candy Corn" are very popular candies in the US. For the recipe, it is a mix of sugar, corn syrup and carnauba wax. They represent corn kernels hence their nickname.

J'ai d'ailleurs eu l'opportunité d'en goûter récemment, et comment dire, je n'ai pas du tout aimé ahahahah !! C'est un concentré de sucres, et ce n'est pas du tout pour moi !!

By the way, I had the opportunity to taste them recently and how can I say, I have not liked them at all ahahahah !! It is a concentrate of sugar, and this is not for me !!

Après avoir fini mon nail art, bien sûr, je me suis rendue compte que j'avais inversé le jaune et le orange...  J'espère que nos amies américaines ne m'en voudront pas.

After finishing my nail art, of course, I realized that I inverted yellow and orange ... I hope our American friends will not resent me.

Pour la réalisation, j'ai tout d'abord posé trois couches de "Blanc" d'essie, puis, j'ai posé une couche de top coat accélérateur de séchage. Après quelques minutes, j'ai posé des bandes de nail vinyles de 1mm d'épaisseur venant de la boutique "My Kingdom For Glitters" à environ un tiers de l'ongle.

For the realization, I first asked three layers of "Blanc" from essie, then I put a layer of dry fast top coat. After a few minutes, I used some 1mm thick nail vinyl stripes from the shop "My Kingdom For Glitters" about a third of the nail.

Ensuite j'ai utilisé le jaune "I Just Can't Cope-Acabana" d'O.P.I. et j'ai rectifié les petites bavures directement au pinceau. J'ai r"alisé la bande orange directement au pinceau avec le vernis "Pumpkins" de Savina. J'ai acheté les vernis essie et savina sur le site "Atouts Charme" sur lequel tu peux bénéficier de -10% avec le code DIAMANT !

Then I used the yellow "I Just Can't Cope-Acabana" from O.P.I. and I corrected the small burrs directly with the brush. I realized the orange stripe directly with the brush too with the nail lacquer "Pumpkins" from Savina. ✝ Holoween // Weekly Nail Art Challenge

Depuis le début du mois, grâce à l'initative de ma copine Dorothy Nail Assay, je participe désormais au "Weekly Nail Art Challenge", WNAC pour les intimes.

Since the beginning of the month, thanks to the initative of my girlfriend Dorothy Nail Assay, I now take part to the "Weekly Nail Art Challenge", or WNAC for short.

C'est un défi nail art pour lequel, on doit réaliser un nail art par semaine, un peu comme le nailstorming. Il y à un thème général par mois, ce mois-ci : Holo, puis un deuxième thème par semaine, cette semaine : Holoween.

It is a nail art challenge for which, we must realize a nail art per week, a bit like the nailstorming. There is a general theme per month, this month : Holo, then a second theme per week, this week : Holoween.

Tu l'auras donc compris, cette semaine, le but était de réaliser un nail art holographique pour Halloween. J'ai décider de réaliser un nail art simple à la portée de toutes contrairement au "nail art" d'Halloween que j'ai réalisé pour le dernier nailstorming.

So, you shall have understood that this week, the goal was to create an holographic nail art for Halloween. I choose to make a simple nail art easy for all unlike the Halloween "nail art" I realized for last nailstorming.

Pour ce nail art, rien de plus simple, deux vernis : un orange un noir. Pour le vernis de base, à vrai dire, tu peux choisir le vernis de la couleur de ton choix, holographique ou non.

For this nail art, nothing more simple, two nail polishes : one orange, one black. For the base nail lacquer, in fact, you can choose the color of your choice, holographic or not.

J'ai choisi le joli vernis orange holographique "Drunken Gummi Bears" de Powder Perfect provenant de la "What's In-die Box" de février sur le thème des cocktails.

I chose the pretty orange holographic nail varnish "Drunken Gummi Bears" from Powder Perfect from the cocktails themed February "What's In die-Box". 

Pour le noir cela se complique un peu, si tu veux réaliser exactement le même nail art, il te faudra absolument le vernis "Arty Pois" de Sephora qui est "un top coat à effets".

For the black it gets a bit complicated, if you want to achieve exactly the same nail art, you will absolutely need the nail polish "Arty Pois" from Sephora" which is an effects top coat."

Ce qui est super fun avec ce top coat, c'est que selon l'épaisseur de la couche, on a un rendu assez différent (plus ou moins gros "trous"), et il se rétracte tout seul, ce qui donne cet effet de french inversée. D'ailleurs, il ne faut surtout pas mettre de top coat transparent, si on veut conserver cet effet ! Voilà les filles, Joyeux Halloween.

The great thing about this top coat is that depending on the thickness of the layer, we have a quite different outcome (more or less large "holes"), and it retracts itself, which gives this reverse french effect. Moreover, it is important not to put clear top coat, if you want to preserve this look ! Here you are girls, Happy Halloween !
