❄ Nailstorming : on se les "Jell", vernis Jelly

Aujourd'hui, je re-participe pour la première fois au Nailstorming et le thème de cette semaine est : "On se les "Jell", vernis Jelly".

Hi girls,
Today I am entering again to the weekly Nailstorming for the first time and the theme of this week is: "It's chilly, Jelly nail polish".

Je n'ai pas participé plus tôt car lors de mon absence, il y à eu un "changement de propriétaire", et j'ai galéré à trouver les conditions de participation qui sont sur la page Facebook du Nailstorming que voici.

I did not participate sooner because during my absence, there was a "change of ownership", and I had a lot of trouble find the conditions of participation that are on the Facebook page of the Nailstorming over here.

Quand j'ai vu le thème, j'ai immédiatement penser à un jelly sandwich (voir définition ici). J'ai posé en base mon blanc du moment "Porcelain II" de Sèche. Cela dit il est devenu tout pâteux, j'ai donc bien galéré...

When I saw the theme, I immediately think of a jelly sandwich. I used my white of the moment "Porcelain II" from Sèche as a base. That said it became all pasty, so it was really painful...

Ensuite, j'ai stampé des flocons de neige à l'aide de deux plaques de stamping : la BM - H01 de Bundle Monster, et la M59 de Konad.

Then I stamped snowflakes with two stamping plates: the BM-H01 from Bundle Monster, and the M59 from Konad.

Pour le vernis j'ai utilisé, mon bleu chouchou "Star Of Bombay" d'Orly. Ensuite je suis passée à l'étape du Jelly Sandwich et c'est là que ça se complique.

For the nail lacquer I used, my darling blue "Star Of Bombay" from Orly. Then I realized the Jelly Sandwich and that's where it got complicated.

Tout d'abord, j'ai sélectionné le vernis "Nfu 39" de Nfu Oh, un top coat un peu laiteux aux flakies bleues / vertes iridescentes. En flacon, il à l'air opaque, mais après deux couches, toujours pas d'opacité...

First, I selected Nfu Oh's "Nfu 39" nail varnish, a milky top coat with iridescent blue / green flakies. In a bottle, it looks opaque, but after two layers, still no opacity ...

J'ai choisi le vernis "298 - Turquoise Microglitter" de Kiko, un vernis bleu translucide. J'en ai posé deux couches, ça donne un petit côté givré, mais ça reste trop léger à mon goût. Qu'est-ce que tu en penses ?

So I picked the "298 - Turquoise Microglitter" from Kiko, a translucent blue nail polish. I laid two layers, it gives a small side frosted, but it is too light for my taste. What do you think ?

⑮ Mon Top 15 des Vernis de 2016

En début de semaine, je t'ai déjà proposé un bref bilan de l'année 2016, et j'avais envie de revenir sur quelques vernis qui ont particulièrement retenu mon attention !! Il s'agit là de vernis que j'ai partagé sur le blog en 2016, certains ont été achetés bien avant mais je n'avais pas encore eu l'occasion de les poser !!

Ils ne sont pas classés par ordre de préférence, j'ai simplement mis mon n*1 en premier, mais pour le reste, ça a déjà été difficile de choisir, alors un classement n'en parlons pas !!

Enfin voilà les heureux élus, je t'ai mis une photo, puis le nom du vernis correspondant sur lequel tu pourras cliquer afin d'aller voir l'article le concernant.

At the beginning of the week, I already showed you a brief review of the year 2016, and I wanted to revisit some nail polishes that particularly caught my attention !! ☞ DéFIL N°1 : Janvier 2016 : Un de Mes Plus Vieux Indie Non Essayé

Je rattrape mon retard, avec aujourd'hui un article qui aurait normalement dû paraître le 25/01, voici le DéFIL du mois de janvier : "un de mes plus vieux indie non essayé".

Hello girls,
I am caughting up with my late today with a post that should normally have been released on 01/25, this is the "DéFIL" of January, "one of my oldest untried indie". 
 

Alors qu'est-ce que le DéFIL ? Il s'agit d'un défi mensuel entre copines amatrices de vernis autour d'un thème, à propos d'un vernis de marque indie (indépendante). FIL étant l'acronyme de "French Indies Lovers" : amatrices françaises d'indies.

So what does "DéFIL" means ? This is a monthly challenge between girl friends which are nail polish amateurs around a topic, about a nail lacquer from an indie brand (independent). FIL being an acronym for "French Indies Lovers".

Ce mois-ci (enfin en janvier), le thème est "un de mes plus vieux indie non essayé". J'ai décidé de te montrer pour l'occasion l'un de mes premiers vernis indie : le "Nfu 61" de la marque Nfu Oh.

This month (well, January actually), the theme is "one of my oldest untried indie". I've decided to take the chance to show you one of my first indie nail varnish : "Nfu 61" from the NFU Oh Brand.

Nfu Oh est une marque coréenne, je ne sais pas si on peut encore la qualifier d'indie, mais toujours est-il, qu'à l'époque où je l'ai acheté c'était bien une marque indie.

NFU Oh is a Korean brand, I do not know if we still can qualify it as an indie brand, but nevertheless, when I bought it was definitely an indie brand. 
 

De plus, c'est une marque que j’affectionne tout particulièrement, car ce sont les premiers vernis que j'ai achetés et qui ont commencés mon addiction. Et regarde moi ce magnifique packaging, ils sont vraiment uniques !!

Moreover, it is a brand that I particularly like, because these are the first nail polishes I bought and which have started my addiction. And look at this stuning packaging, they are truly unique !!

J'avais tout d'abord acheté deux holos de cette série, puis, je les ai tellement adorés que j'en ai rachetés 11 autres ! A l'époque, je me disais que j'étais folle, maintenant 800 vernis plus tard... "Bonjour, je m'appelle Coralie et je suis Nail Polish Aholic" !

I first bought two holos from this series, and I loved them so much that I bought 11 more ! At the time, I thought I was crazy, now 800 nail lacquers later... "Hello, my name is Coralie and I am a Nail Polish Aholic !"

Il se peut que j'ai déjà posé ce vernis lorsque que je l'ai reçu. Je sais que j'ai posé un ou deux vernis de cette collec à l'époque, mais je ne me souviens plus lesquels, c'est pourquoi j'ai choisi de le (re)poser pour ce DéFIL.

I might have already asked this nail varnish when I received it. I know I laid one or two nail polishes from this collection back then, but I cannot recall which one(s), that's why I chose to (re)pose it for this "DéFIL".

De toutes les façons, je ne l'avais pas encore montré par ici, donc voilà une bonne chose de faite car il est quand même superbe ! Par contre il est opaque en 3/4 couches, et je trouve qu'il a une désagréable odeur de peinture.

Anyway, I had not yet shown it over here, so that's a good thing done because it is really gorgeous ! By cons it is opaque in 3/4 layers, and I think it has an unpleasant smell of paint.

Je me souviens que c’était une horreur à poser, mais alors je ne sais pas si c'est moi qui me suis améliorée à poser du vernis, ou bien s'il s'est bonifié avec l'âge mais je n'ai pas du tout galéré à le poser !

I remember it was a horror to ask, but then I don't know if it's me who improved asking nail lacquer, or if it got bette with age but I did not struggled to put it ! 

Et pour voir les autres vernis posés par les copines, c'est par ici !!

On se retrouve pour la deuxième fois de la journée exceptionnellement, car en plus du complot de ce matin, c'est également le jour du nailstorming, et le thème de cette semaine est "Bonne Année !", je voulais donc absolument y participer !!

We meet exceptionally for a second time today because in addition to this morning's plot, it's also the day of the nailstorming, and the theme this week is "Happy New Year !", so I really wanted to participate !! 

En général, j'ai rarement le temps de faire plusieurs nail arts pour le réveillon du Nouvel An, car en décembre, on se concentre plutôt sur Noël que sur le Nouvel An.

Usually I rarely have enough time to do several nail arts for New Year's Eve, as in December, we rather focus on Christmas than on New Year's Eve.

D'ailleurs, cette année, je voulais te présenter un deuxième nail art, et deux vernis idéaux à porter pour la soirée du 31, mais je n'aurai le temps de te montrer que ce nail art et un vernis !!!

Moreover, this year, I wanted to show you a second nail art, and two nail polishes ideal to wear for the 31's evening, but I'll time to show you this nail art and a nail lacquer !!! 

L'année dernière, je suis tombée sur un magnifique nail art de "Treviginti", et ça fait juste un an que j'attends le nouvel an pour pouvoir le reproduire.

Last year, I came across a beautiful nail art from "Treviginti" and that makes just one year that I expect New Years so I can reproduce it.

Son nail art est juste à tomber par terre je trouve : sobre, classe, élégant, mais tout de même festif. Aujourd'hui, je ne me suis pas cassé la tête, je l'ai reproduit à l'identique.

Her nail art is just to die for, I find it : sober, class, elegant, but still festive. Today, I choose the easy way, I have reproduced exactly the same nail art.

La plupart du temps, lorsque je reproduis un nail art, je change un détail, ou une couleur, mais là, il faut dire que je trouve qu'il n'y a rien à changer, son nail art est parfait !

Usually, when I reproduce a nail art, I change a detail or a color, but here I must say that I find that there is nothing to change, her nail art is perfect !

En base, j'ai posé une couche de mon noir fétiche "Licorice" d'essie (oui, oui, il est opaque en une couche). Puis je l'ai matifié à l'aide de mon top coat matifiant favori le "Matte Top Coat" de Nfu Oh.

As a base, I put a layer of my favorite black "Licorice" from essie (yes, yes, it is opaque in one coat). Then I mattified using my darling mattifying top coat the "Matte Top Coat" from Nfu Oh. 

Ensuite, j'ai découpé des bandes de scotch blanc, je l'ai ai collés puis décollés plusieurs fois sur ma main afin d'éliminer le plus de colle possible, pour ne pas décoller le vernis par la suite.

Then I cut out stripes of white tape, I stuck and unstuck them several times on my hand to eliminate as much glue as possible, soit didn't unstuck the nail varnish afterwards.

Enfin tout comme "Treviginti", j'ai utilisé le top coat à paillettes dorées et holographiques "Live, Love, Laugh" de Il Était Un Vernis. Cependant, je l'ai appliqué à l'éponge, afin de ne pas avoir à repasser trop de fois. Et voilà !

Finally just like "Treviginti" I used the golden and holografics flakies top coat "Live, Love, Laugh" from Il Était Un Vernis. However, I applied it with a sponge to avoid having to go over many times. There you go !

❧ Nail Art Damask pour le #wnac2015

la semaine dernière, je vous ai parlé de ma première participation au #wnac2015 avec un splatter nail art. Et bien voici ma deuxième participation avec cette fois un joli motif Damask.

Last week I talked you about the first time I got involved to #wnac2015 with a splatter nail art. Well this is my second enter, and this time with a beautiful Damask pattern.

Le Damask (appelé aussi Damasque ou Damas) est un magnifique tissu aux motifs baroques et floraux. Je viens d'apprendre qu'il vient initialement du Vietnam, mais doit son nom à la ville de Damas en Syrie.

The Damask (also called Damasque or Damas) is a beautiful fabric with baroque and floral patterns. I just learned that it originally comes from Vietnam, but takes its name from the city of Damascus in Syria.
 

J'ai cherché dans toutes mes plaques de stamping un joli motif qui serait parfait pour l'occasion. Malheureusement, j'ai eu beau en faire le tour deux fois, je n'ai rien qui correspondait à ce que je voulais.

I looked in all of my stamping plates for a nice pattern that would be perfect for the occasion. Unfortunately, I've checked them twice, and didn't found what I wanted.
 

Je me suis donc contentée d'un motif baroque et floral également mais pas vraiment Damask :/ Il s'agit d'un motif de la plaque BM 312 de Bundle Monster.

So I settled for a baroque and floral pattern too, but not really Damask :/ This is a pattern from the BM 312 Bundle Monster stamping plate.
 

En couleur de base, j'ai posé trois couches de mon fidèle rose néon, le sublime "On The List" de Pipe Dream Polish.

As base color, I put three layers of my faithful neon pink, the sublime "On The List" from Pipe Dream Polish. 

Ensuite, j'ai donc stampé avec mon motif pseudo-Damask et le vernis noir "Licorice" d'Essie.

So, then I stamped with my pseudo-Damask pattern and the black nail polish "Licorice" from Essie.
 

Il fallait que le nail art soit holo, puisque c'est le thème principal du mois. Alors, j'ai ensuite posé une fine couche du top coat holographique "Djinn In A Bottle" d'Enchanted Polish.

It has to be an holographic nail art, since it is the main theme of this month. So I put a thin layer of the holographic top coat "Djinn In A Bottle" from Enchanted Polish.

Mais dès que j'ai vu le thème "Damask", j'ai su que je voulais un nail art mat. J'ai donc matifié le tout avec mon top coat mat chouchou : le Nfu Oh. 

But as soon as I saw the theme "Damask", I knew that I wanted a matte nail art. So I matted it all with my all time favorite matte top coat : the Nfu Oh.

Malheureusement, cela fond un peu les particules holos, mais ça donne tout de même un effet assez sympa et original je trouve ! Allez on se retrouve vendredi pour le thème "Galaxy" !

Unfortunately, this melts the holos particles a little bit, but it still gives a pretty cool and unique effect I think ! See you on Friday for the "Galaxy" theme !
