Today, here is the swatch of my favorite night blue lacquer "Star Of Bombay" from the brand Orly. It comes from the Orly Collection Gems collection.

J'adore ce bleu, je trouve qu'il a un fini vraiment classe et laqué. Il est limite opaque en une couche, mais ici, j'en porte deux couches avec une couche de top coat.

I love this blue, I think it has a really classy and lacquered finish. It is almost opaque in one layer, but here I wear two layers with a layer of top coat.

Il s'applique super facilement. Il a un joli shimmer bleu qui le rend lumineux bien qu'il soit très foncé. J'adore le porter seul ou en nail art.

The application really smooth. It has a nice blue shimmer that makes it bright even though it is a very dark blue. I love to wear it by itself or for a nail art.

Aujourd'hui nous nous retrouvons pour un complot d'anniversaire, et ça fait très très longtemps que je n'en avais pas réalisé !

Here we are today for a birthday plot, and it's been a very very long time since I had not entered in any plot!

C'est donc l'anniversaire de Magali que nous célébrons aujourd'hui, alias a.e.l.i.s. sur Instagram. Et c'est carrément trop cool car je viens juste de la rencontrer, je suis donc hyper contente de participer à son complot d'anniversaire aujourd'hui.

It is therefore Magali's birthday that we are celebrating today, a.k.a. a.e.l.i.s. on Instagram. And it's downright cool because I just met her, so I'm really excited to be a part of her birthday plot today.

Le thème de son complot est : soit une reproduction de l'un de ses nail arts, soit un nail art inspiré d'un livre, soit un beau ciel. Alors moi en ce moment, je ne sais pas ce qu'il m'arrive mais je n'ai pas les yeux en face des trous, car j'ai seulement vu le nail art inspiré d'un livre, et même pas les deux autres xD.

The theme of her plot is either a reproduction of one of her nail arts, either a nail art inspired by a book, or a beautiful sky. So I don't know what's happening to me right now, but I didn't read properly, because I only saw the nail art inspired by a book, and not even the two other ones xD.

Enfin bref, je suis donc allée fouiner sur son profil Instagram, et j'ai vu sur cette photo qu'elle était en train de lire "Jardin d'Hiver" d'Olivier Parquet. Je n'ai pas lu le bouquin mais cela m'a inspiré et je me suis dit que ça ferait un nail art sympa surtout que j'ai déjà fait des nail arts inspirés par des livres ici (j'aime beaucoup celui-là), mais aussi ici (un nail art mignon aussi) ou encore ici, et je voulais changer un peu.

Anyway, I went to snoop on her Instagram's profile, and I saw in this picture that she was actually reading "Jardin d'Hiver" (Winter Garden) by Olivier Parquet. I did not read the book but it inspired me and I thought it would make a nice nail art especially as I have already done nail arts inspired by books here (I love this one), right here (a cute one too), and over here, and I wanted to change a bit.

En base, j'ai posé deux couches de mon bleu nuit préféré "Star Of Bombay" d'Orly. Par-dessus, j'ai posé deux couches d'un de mes premiers vernis indie et également l'un de mes favoris : "Tibetan Nights" de Cirque Colors.

A a base, I put two layers of my favorite night blue nail polish "Star Of Bombay" from Orly. Over it, I laid two coats of one of my first indie nail varnishes and also one of my favorites: "Tibetan Nights" from Cirque Colors.

Ce qui est cool, c'est que la base de mon nail art elle-même peut faire office de ciel étoilé, on est donc doublement dans le thème. J'ai ensuite réalisé un double stamping.

What is cool is that the base of my nail art itself can be a starry sky too, so we are doubly in the theme. I then made a double stamping.

Pour les motifs "écritures", j'ai utilisé la plaque de stamping "Literature 01" de chez Mo You offerte par ma copine Adilys2 (Marie pour les intimes). Pour les motifs "fleurs", j'ai utilisé la plaque "Pueen 80" de Pueen donc, venant du set Buffet Leisure.

For the "writings" patterns, I used the stamping plate "Literature 01" from Mo You gifted to me by my friend Adilys2 (Marie for friends). For the "flower" patterns, I used Pueen's "Pueen 80" stamping plate, from the Buffet Leisure set.

Pour les vernis de stamping, j'ai utilisé "Porcelain II" de Sèche pour le blanc, et "Angel Kiss" de Color Club pour le holo. J'ai alterné les vernis pour stamper les motifs, tantôt les écritures en blanc, tantôt en holo et vice versa. For the stamping nail lacquers, I used "Porcelain II" from Sèche for the white, and "Angel Kiss" from Color Club for the holo. I alternated the two nail polishes to stamp the patterns, sometimes the writings in white, sometimes in holo and vice versa. Ça y est la Saint-Valentin est finie ! Après l'overdose de vernis roses et rouges, j'ai décider de virer au bleu ! Voici donc le swatch du vernis à ongles "Walk This Way" de la marque indie Indigo Bananas.

Valentine's Day is over! After the overdose of pink and red nail lacquers, I decided to turn blue! So here is the swatch of the nail polish "Walk This Way" from the indie brand Indigo Bananas.

"Walk This Way" est un vernis bleu texturé aux paillettes holographiques. Il est opaque en deux à trois fines couches. Il a des glass flecks et a un fini semi-mat, ici, je le porte sans top coat. Oh, et il brille dans la nuit !! Oui, oui, il devient vert fluo ^^

"Walk This Way" is a textured blue nail varnish with holographic flakes. It is opaque in two to three thin layers. It has glass flecks and has a semi-matte finish, here I wear it without any top coat. Oh, and it glows in the night !! Yes, yes, it becomes fluorescent green ^^

Je ne sais pas pourquoi Indigo Bananas n'est pas plus connue en France car je trouve qu'elle fait des vernis assez funs et originaux. Je n'ai moi-même que 3 vernis de cette marque dans ma vernithèque (et ce sont tous des cadeaux !).

I don't know why Indigo Bananas is not more known in France because I find that it makes quite fun and original nail polishes. I have only 3 nail varnishes of this brand in my stash (and they all are gifts!).

Pour tout te dire, je ne suis pas d'ailleurs hyper fan de "Walk This Way" mais je l'ai swatché il y à un moment (voir la taille de mes griffes) et je me suis dit qu'il était temps de te le montrer. Et toi, qu'en penses-tu ?

To be really honest, I'm not really a big fan of "Walk This Way" but I swatched it a while ago (check the length of my claws) and I thought it was about time to show it to you. And you, what do you think about it?

Aujourd'hui sort en salles le film "La La Land" de Damien Chazelle avec Ryan Gosling et Emma Stone. Je ne sais pas si j'irai le voir, mais je me suis dit que c'était l'occasion parfaite pour porter le vernis "La La Land" d'Enchanted Polish.

Today the movie "La La Land" by Damien Chazelle is released (in France) with Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. I do not know if I will go watch it, but I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to wear the nail polish "La La Land" from Enchanted Polish.

J'avais beaucoup aimé Ryan Gosling et Emma Stone dans "Crazy Stupid Love", mais je ne suis pas une fan des films musicaux américains, à méditer donc...

I really liked Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone in "Crazy Stupid Love", but I'm not a fan of American musicals, so I'll think about it...

En vrai le nom de "La La Land" n'a absolument rien à voir avec le film. Mais, si je ne dis pas de bêtises, le vernis doit son nom à la chanson "La La Land" de Demi Lovato.

In truth the name "La La Land" has absolutely nothing to do with the movie. But, if I am correct, the nail lacquer owes its name to the song "La La Land" by Demi Lovato.

J'ai quand même trouvé que ce serait sympa de le porter aujourd'hui surtout que je ne l'avais pas encore mis.

I still thought it would be nice to wear it today especially since I had not used it yet. 

Il s'agit d'un RTRP (Right Time Right Place), ce qui veut dire que sa vente n'a pas été annoncée au préalable, il fallait y être au bon moment.

This is a RTRP (Right Time Right Place), which means that its sale was not advertised earlier, you had to be there at the right time.

Il s'agit d'un beau bleu holographique avec une pointe de turquoise (teal) et un joli shimmer rose. Il est opaque en deux à trois couches.

This is a beautiful holographic blue with a tip of turquoise // teal and a pretty pink shimmer. It is opaque in two to three layers.

Personnellement, je le trouve vraiment très beau. L'année dernière j'ai revendu environ la moitié de mes Enchanted Polish. J'ai gardé celui-ci car je l'aime beaucoup !

Personally, I find it really beautiful. Last year I sold about half of my Enchanted Polish. I kept this one because I love it very much!

Comme tous les swatchs de teal, il est assez difficile d'être totalement fidèle à la couleur du vernis. Surtout que la couleur change d'un écran à un autre ! Mais j'ai fait de mon mieux !!

Like all teal swatchs, it is quite difficult to be totally faithful to the color of the nail varnish. Especially as the color changes from one screen to another! But I did my best !!

❄ Freeze Machine d'Enchanted Polish

Aujourd'hui me voilà avec le swatch d'un des vernis les plus mal-aimés de la marque au château : le topper "Freeze Machine" d'Enchanted Polish.

Today, here I am with the swatch of one of the most unloved nail varnishes from the castle brand: the topper "Freeze Machine" from Enchanted Polish.

Corrigez-moi si je me trompe mais j'ai bien l'impression qu'avec "March 2014" et "May 2014", "Freeze Machine" est l'un des plus mal-aimés de la marque. C'est un top coat complètement fou au mix indescriptibles de paillettes : micro-paillettes hexagonales bleues, flakies vertes, paillettes hexagonales iridescentes...

Correct me if I am wrong but I have the feeling that with "March 2014" and "May 2014", "Freeze Machine" is one of the most unloved from the brand. It is a completely insane top coat with a mix of indescribable glitter: micro-hexagonal blue flakes, green flakies, iridescent hexagonal flakes ...

Je t'avoue que même moi, je ne sais pas trop quoi en penser... Le truc c'est qu'en flacon, je le trouve superbe, mais une fois posée, je suis vraiment très mitigée à son égard. J'avais déjà tenter de le poser sur "Malibu" toujours d'Enchanted Polish, un bleu un peu plus foncé, et je préférais le résultat que tu peux revoir ici.

I admit that even I do not know what to think about it ... The thing is that in the bottle, I find it superb, but once laid, I am really very mixed with it. I had already tried to put it over "Malibu" also from Enchanted Polish, a slightly darker blue, and I preferred the result that you can see here.

"Freeze Machine" est un vernis de la collection "Love A Lot Glitter" (la collection Bisounours donc) qui est également composée de "Daydream Surprise", "Wish Me Good Luck", "Tenderheart", et "Tummy Time". Ici, je l'ai posé en couche par-dessus "Cotton Candy Taffy" d'Enchanted Polish.

"Freeze Machine" is a nail lacquer from the collection "Love A Lot Glitter" (the Care Bears collection) which is also composed of "Daydream Surprise", "Wish Me Good Luck", "Tenderheart", and "Tummy Time". Here I laid only one layer over "Cotton Candy Taffy" from Enchanted Polish.

Quand cette collection est sortie, je n'avais acheté que "Tenderheart" chez Pshiiit, je me souviens que la marque n'était pas aussi convoitée à l'époque et qu'ils étaient restés des jours sur le site !!

When this collection was released, I bought only "Tenderheart" at Pshiiit's, I remember that the brand was not so coveted at the time they stayed on the site for days !!

J'adore les Bisounours, et j'ai acheté "Tenderheart" car le nom me tenait particulièrement à coeur. Je l'adore il est très original. J'avais hésité à prendre "Tummy Time" à l'époque mais j'avais été raisonnable et les autres ne 'avaient pas fait d'effet particulier.

I love the Care Bears, and I bought "Tenderheart" because the name was particularly close to my heart. I love it it is very original. I had hesitated to also take "Tummy Time" at the time but I had been reasonable and I didn't really liked the others.

Si je ne dis pas de bêtises, il me semble que "Freeze Machine" est le seul de cette collection à avoir été remis en vente. C'est à cette occasion que je me le suis procuré. Je suis indécise à son sujet, mais je l'ai trouvé très joli sur certains nail arts alors je vais peut-être lui donner une autre chance !

If I am not mistaken, I think that "Freeze Machine" is the only one of this collection to have been released again. It was on this occasion that I got it. I'm really hesitant about it, but I found it very pretty on some nail arts so I might give it another chance!

❄ Nail Art Hivernal

Here I am today with a SECOND NAIL ART this week, wow, I can't help myself anymore!! Indeed with the Christmas and holiday season, it makes me want to polish my nails and nail art I guess!

Après un nail art chaleureux et "noëlistique" mardi, voici un nail art plus hivernal mais tout autant festif. J'ai reçu le joli top coat "Étoiles d'argent" de la marque française Dr Pierre Ricaud* récemment et j'ai trouvé que c'était le vernis idéal pour réaliser un nail art saisonnier.

After a warm and "noelistic" nail art on Tuesday, here is a more wintery but just as festive nail art. I received the pretty top coat "Étoiles d'argent" (Silver Stars) from the French brand Dr Pierre Ricaud* recently and I thought it would be the perfect nail lacquer to achieve a seasonal nail art.

Quand j'ai reçu ce vernis, je me suis dit qu'il était joli mais assez simple et que j'avais surement un voire plusieurs dupes dans ma vernithèque, et bien en fait pas du tout !! Il s'agit d'un top coat aux micro paillettes blanches et de mini bar glitter argentées. Et surtout, j'adore son pinceau rond qui s'adapte à la forme de l'ongle.

When I received this nail varnish, I thought it was pretty but quite simple and that I surely had one or even several dupes in my stash, well actually not at all !! It is a top coat with white micro glitter and mini silver bar glitter. And above all, I love the round brush that fits the shape of the nail.

J'ai décidé de l'utiliser de plusieurs façons différentes pour que tu te fasses une idée de comment on peut le porter. Je l'ai posé seul en trois couches sur l'annulaire, sur tous les autres doigts, j'ai posé "Indigo to go" d'essence cosmetics en deux couches.

I decided to use it in several different ways for you to get an idea of how you can wear it. I wear it by itself in three layers on the ring finger, on all the other fingers, I used "Indigo to go" from essence cosmetics in two layers.

Sur le pouce et le majeur, j'ai stampé un motif de la plaque BM - 316 de Bundle Monster avec "No Place Like Chrome" d'essie. Sur l'index, j'ai utilisé "Étoiles d'argent" en deux couches, et sur l'auriculaire, j'ai fait un dégradé de paillettes directement au pinceau.

On the thumb and the middle finger, I stamped a pattern from the Bundle Monster BM - 316 stamping plate with "No Place Like Chrome" from essie. On the index, I used "Étoiles d'argent" in two layers, and on the little finger, I made a gradient of glitter directly with the brush.

Concernant Étoiles d'argent" de Dr Pierre Ricaud, j'aime le vernis en lui-même, le pinceau que je trouve extra, et le fait qu'il sèche ultra vite ce qui facilite la pose de plusieurs couches et que ce soit une marque française. En revanche je le trouve un peu cher : 9€ pour 5 ml, mais il fera un cadeau idéal si tu n'as pas encore trouvé quoi acheter !!!

Regarding "Étoiles d'argent" by Dr. Pierre Ricaud, I like the varnish in itself, the brush that I find great, and the fact that it dries very quickly which eases the laying of several layers and that it is a French brand, but I find it a little expensive: 9 € for 5 ml, it will make an ideal gift if you have not found yet what to buy though !!!

☽☄☆ Galaxy Nails 100% HOLO !

Ça y est, je suis de retour !! Pardonnez ma longue absence, comme vous le savez peut-être, j'étais en Inde pendant 6 mois. Très honnêtement même si j'avais très envie de continuer à bloguer là-bas, je manquais cruellement de temps, j'ai donc laissé le blog en suspens pendant quelques temps.

I am finally back! Please forgive me for my absence, as you may know I was in India for 6 months and even though I really wanted to keep blogging, I was unfortunately lacking of time, that's why I stopped blogging for a little while.

Je suis revenue il y à tout pile un mois, mais j'avais besoin de repos, de retrouver mes marques, je suis partie quelques jours avec mon chéri, et je n'avais pas l'envie de me remettre à bloguer tout de suite, mais me revoilà enfin !

I came back just a month ago, but I needed to rest for a while, to find my marks, I also went on a trip for a few days with my boyfriend, and I did not want to go back to blogging right away. But hey, here I am again!

Je ne sais pas encore si je vais reprendre le même rythme qu'avant, mais je reprends le blog ça c'est sur ! J'ai aussi eu envie d'écrire à propos de mon expérience en Inde, à propos de mes voyages, alors j'ai décidé de créer un autre blog : frenchieglobetrotter.blogspot.com

Enfin bref, aujourd'hui, je reviens avec un nail art festif : un Galaxy Nail Art. J'adore cette technique très facile à réaliser et qui permet d'obtenir un super résultat !

Anyway, today, I am coming back with a festive nail art : a Galaxy nail art. I love to achieve this really easy technique and which provides a great result!

Pour ce nail art, j'ai posé en base le vernis "Azure Dreams" de Lilypad Lacquer que tu peux revoir posé seul en cliquant ici. Il s'agit d'un sublime bleu holographique qui pourrait faire office de galaxie à lui seul.

For this nail art, I used the nail lacquer "Azure Dreams" from Lilypad Lacquer as a base which you can see on its own over here. This is a sublime blue holographic who could be a galaxy by itself.

Ensuite à l'aide d'une éponge, j'ai appliqué les vernis suivants aléatoirement : "Blanc" d'essie, "Bleu Moonlight" de Bourjois, "Gumball" et "Hypergel Purple Glaze" de Models Own, et "It's Up To Blue" d'Orly.

Then using a sponge, I applied the following nail polishes randomly: "Blanc" from essie, "Bleu Moonlight" from Bourjois, "Gumball" and "Hypergel Purple Glaze" from Models Own, and "It's Up To Blue" from Orly.

Ensuite pour rendre le résultat plus "lisse", j'ai ré-appliqué par endroits quelques touches du vernis de base "Azure Dreams" de Lilypad Lacquer, cela permet de fondre les couleurs entre elles.

Then to make the result "smoother", I reapplied in some spots a few touches of the base nail varnish "Azure Dreams" from Lilypad Lacquer, this allows to melt the colors between them.

Enfin pour donner un aspect étoilé à ma voie lactée, j'ai également tapoté à l'aide d'une éponge le vernis idéal pour tout Galaxy nail art : "Seven Nation Army" d'Enchanted Polish, un top coat à paillettes noires, blanches et holographiques.

Finally, to give a star-like appearance to my milky way, I also patted using a sponge with the ideal nail lacquer for any Galaxy nail art: "Seven Nation Army" by Enchanted Polish, a top coat with black, white and holographic glitters.
