On se retrouve pour le swatch d'un beau gosse aujourd'hui "Darcy" de Picture Polish. Il doit son nom au brun ténébreux Mark Darcy (#TeamColinFirth) du célèbre roman "Orgueil & Préjugés" de Jane Austen, et du livre "Le journal de Bridget Jones" d'Helen Fielding.

Here we are today for the swatch of a handsome nail polish : "Darcy" from Picture Polish. It is named after the character Mark Darcy (#TeamColinFirth) from the famous novel "Pride & Prejudice" by Jane Austen and from the book "Bridget Jones's Diary" by Helen Fielding.

Il fait partie de la collection "Opulence Shades", et ce "Darcy" est entouré de deux belles demoiselles : "Lizzie" en référence à Elizabeth Bennet, un beau violet, et "Bridget" un rouge sexy se référant lui à Bridget Jones.

It is part of the "Opulence Shades" collection, and this "Darcy" is surrounded by two beautiful young ladies: a beautiful purple, "Lizzie" in reference to Elizabeth Bennet, and a sexy red "Bridget" referring to Bridget Jones.

"Darcy" est un vernis noir holographiques et aux particules scatter holo. Il s'agit de la réédition de feu "Ozotic 623". Il est opaque en 3 bonnes couches, mais il sèche rapidement, et tu peux le poser sur un couche de vernis voir.

"Darcy" is an holographic black nail lacquer which has scatter holo particles. This is the reissue of "Ozotic 623". It is opaque in 3 good layers, but it dries quickly, and you can lay it on a layer of black nail varnish.

▨ Journée Mondiale de L'Art // Nailstorming

Aujourd'hui c'est la journée internationale de l'art, et c'est pourquoi le thème du nailstorming de ce dimanche lui est dédié.

Hello girls,
Today is the world art day, which is why the theme of this Sunday nailstorming is dedicated to it.

J'ai eu du mal à choisir mais finalement, j'ai choisi de m'inspirer du travail d'un peintre français que j'aime beaucoup : Pierre Soulages.

I had a hard time choosing but finally I chose to draw my inspiration from the work of a French artist that I love : Pierre Soulages.

C'est un peintre qui travaille essentiellement sur la couleur noire et sur la matière et les textures. Je me suis dit que c'était donc parfait pour les NPA !

This is a painter who works mostly on the black color and material and textures. I thought it was perfect for the NPA !

Tout d'abord, j'ai posé deux couches du vernis "4 In The Morning" d'O.P.I. qui est un vernis mat noir venant de la collection Gwen Stefani.

First of all, I laid two coats of the nail lacquer "4 In The Morning" from O.P.I. which is a black matt nail varnish from the Gwen Stefani collection.

Bien sûr, je n'ai pas appliqué de top coat dessus pour conserver l'effet mat. J'ai attendu un bon moment pour être sûre que ce soit sec afin de nail arter tranquillement sans arracher le vernis !

Of course, I did not apply any top coat to keep its matte effect. I waited a while to be sure it was dry to nail art quietly without stripping any nail polish !

Ensuite, j'ai travaillé de manière variée selon les oeuvres que j'avais sélectionnées, une différente pour chaque ongle.

Then I worked in various ways according to the Artworks I had chosen, one different for each nail.

Pour le pouce, j'ai voulu montrer la différence de texture entre brillant et mat. J'ai donc posé un scotch au milieu de l'ongle et appliqué mon vernis noir brillant "Liquorish Allsorts" de Models Own.

For the thumb, I wanted to show the difference between glossy and matte texture. So I placed a tape in the middle of the nail and applied my shiny black nail lacquer "Liquorish Allsorts" from Models Own.

Pour l'index, j'ai appliqué mon vernis noir brillant, toujours le "Liquorish Allsorts" de Models Own à l'aide du plat d'une pince à épiler. En plus il est parfumé à la régisse, du coup, j'ai aussi travaillé sur l'odeur !!

For the index, I also applied my shiny black nail lacquer, still the "Liquorish Allsorts" from Models Own with the flat of tweezers. In addition it is licorice flavored, so, I also worked on the smell !!

Pour le majeur, j'ai posé une bande striping tape au milieu, puis appliqué une couche de "Liquorish Allsorts" de Models Own. Ensuite, avant que le vernis soit sec, j'ai utilisé une autre bande de striping tape afin de créer du relief.

For the middle finger, I put a striping tape in the middle, and then applied a layer of "Liquorish Allsorts" by Models Own. Then, before the polish dried, I used a different tape of striping tape to create some relief.

Pour l'annulaire, j'ai utilisé un peu la même technique que pour le majeur, sauf que je l'ai fait dans deux sens différents, et que j'ai utilisé un ticket de métro pour faire les rayures.

For the ring finger, I used kind of the same technique than for the middle finger, except that I did it in two different directions, and I used a subway ticket to do the scratches...

Enfin pour l'auriculaire, j'ai posé une couche de vernis noir brillant, puis à l'aide de la pince à épiler, j'ai "creusé" des rayures dans le vernis encore frais. Et voilà !

Finally, for the little finger, I asked the glossy black nail polish, then by using the tweezers, I "dug" some stripes in the still fresh nail varnish. There you go !

۩ Des Ongles De Marbre (Nailstorming)

Aujourd'hui, je te propose de nouveau de rattraper le temps perdu en te montrant le nail art que j'avais réalisé pour le Nailstorming du 31/01 et dont le thème était "De Marbre".

Today, I propose you again to make up for lost time by showing you the nail art I had done for the 31/01 Nailstorming and the theme was "Marble". 

N'ayant pas accès à mon ordinateur, je n'avais pas pu partager avec toi ce nail art, mais je l'avais bel et bien réalisé parce que je trouvais le thème plutôt chouette !

With no access to my computer, I had not been able to share with you this nail art, but I had indeed done it because I thought the theme was pretty cool !

Je suis un peu déçue par le résultat final qui ne correspond pas tout à fait à ce que j'avais en tête, disons que c'est du marbre qui ne vient pas des plus belles carrières du monde !

I am a bit disappointed with the outcome that is not quite what I had in mind, let's say it is marble which does not come of the finest quarries in the world !

D'ailleurs, j'ai visité les grottes de Marathi, et les carrières de marbre de Paros, le marbre qui a été utilisé pour la "Vénus de Milo" lors de mon séjour en Grèce l'année dernière ! Ca me donne envie de repartir en vacances !

Besides, I visited the caves of Marathi, and the marble quarries of Paros, the marble that was used for the "Venus de Milo" during my stay in Greece last year ! It makes me want to go back on vacation !

Pour un effet marbre, j'avais dans l'idée de faire un watermarble, (ce qui semble logique me diras-tu) avec la technique du spray vaporisé sur le vernis.

For a marble effect, I had the idea to do a Watermarble Nail, (which seems logical you'll tell me) with the technique of the spray sprayed over the lacquer. 

Pour commencer, j'ai posé deux couches de "Blanc" d'essie. Puis, j'ai choisi le noir "Licorice" et l'argenté métallisé "No Place Like Chrome" toujours d'essie. Et pour un léger effet holo, j'ai aussi utilisé "Nfu 61" de Nfu Oh.

To begin with, I put two layers of "Blanc" from essie. Then I chose the black "Licorice" and the metallic silver "No Place Like Chrome" still from essie. And for a light holo effect, I also used "Nfu 61" from Nfu Oh. 

J'ai posé des gouttes de vernis, et fait des motifs aléatoires sur l'eau, puis j'ai vaporisé du parfum. Malheureusement, ça n'a pas très bien fonctionné chez moi.

I put nail varnish drops, and made random patterns over the water, then I sprayed some perfume. Unfortunately, it did not work very well at home. 

Cela a fait une espèce de couche bizarre à la surface de l'eau, et cela ne donnait pas du tout l'effet escompté. J'ai quand même continué, rajouté du blanc, etc... Et voilà le résultat !

It made kind of a weird layer on the surface of the water, and it did not give the expected effect at all. I still continued, added white, etc... And here is the result !

On se retrouve pour la deuxième fois de la journée exceptionnellement, car en plus du complot de ce matin, c'est également le jour du nailstorming, et le thème de cette semaine est "Bonne Année !", je voulais donc absolument y participer !!

En général, j'ai rarement le temps de faire plusieurs nail arts pour le réveillon du Nouvel An, car en décembre, on se concentre plutôt sur Noël que sur le Nouvel An.

Usually I rarely have enough time to do several nail arts for New Year's Eve, as in December, we rather focus on Christmas than on New Year's Eve.

D'ailleurs, cette année, je voulais te présenter un deuxième nail art, et deux vernis idéaux à porter pour la soirée du 31, mais je n'aurai le temps de te montrer que ce nail art et un vernis !!!

Moreover, this year, I wanted to show you a second nail art, and two nail polishes ideal to wear for the 31's evening, but I'll time to show you this nail art and a nail lacquer !!! 

L'année dernière, je suis tombée sur un magnifique nail art de "Treviginti", et ça fait juste un an que j'attends le nouvel an pour pouvoir le reproduire.

Last year, I came across a beautiful nail art from "Treviginti" and that makes just one year that I expect New Years so I can reproduce it.

Son nail art est juste à tomber par terre je trouve : sobre, classe, élégant, mais tout de même festif. Aujourd'hui, je ne me suis pas cassé la tête, je l'ai reproduit à l'identique.

Her nail art is just to die for, I find it : sober, class, elegant, but still festive. Today, I choose the easy way, I have reproduced exactly the same nail art.

La plupart du temps, lorsque je reproduis un nail art, je change un détail, ou une couleur, mais là, il faut dire que je trouve qu'il n'y a rien à changer, son nail art est parfait !

Usually, when I reproduce a nail art, I change a detail or a color, but here I must say that I find that there is nothing to change, her nail art is perfect !

En base, j'ai posé une couche de mon noir fétiche "Licorice" d'essie (oui, oui, il est opaque en une couche). Puis je l'ai matifié à l'aide de mon top coat matifiant favori le "Matte Top Coat" de Nfu Oh.

As a base, I put a layer of my favorite black "Licorice" from essie (yes, yes, it is opaque in one coat). Then I mattified using my darling mattifying top coat the "Matte Top Coat" from Nfu Oh. 

Ensuite, j'ai découpé des bandes de scotch blanc, je l'ai ai collés puis décollés plusieurs fois sur ma main afin d'éliminer le plus de colle possible, pour ne pas décoller le vernis par la suite.

Then I cut out stripes of white tape, I stuck and unstuck them several times on my hand to eliminate as much glue as possible, soit didn't unstuck the nail varnish afterwards.

Enfin tout comme "Treviginti", j'ai utilisé le top coat à paillettes dorées et holographiques "Live, Love, Laugh" de Il Était Un Vernis. Cependant, je l'ai appliqué à l'éponge, afin de ne pas avoir à repasser trop de fois. Et voilà !

Finally just like "Treviginti" I used the golden and holografics flakies top coat "Live, Love, Laugh" from Il Était Un Vernis. However, I applied it with a sponge to avoid having to go over many times. There you go !

♯ Nail Art Pied de Poule

Aujourd'hui, je reviens sur un nail art que j'ai fait le mois dernier pour le Weekly Nail Art Challenge, mais que je n'avais pas encore eu l'occasion de te montrer sous toutes ses coutures par ici.

Today, I am back with a nail art that I did last month for the Weekly Nail Art Challenge, but I had not yet had the opportunity to show you the details over here.

Le thème principal était 'Holo", et le thème secondaire était "Houndstooth", à savoir le célèbre imprimé pied-de-poule, à la fois rétro, mais totalement chic et tout de même dans l'air du temps.

The main theme was "Holo" and the secondary theme was "Houndstooth" ie the famous pattern, both retro, but totally chic and still in the air.

Lorsque j'ai découvert le thème, j'ai tout de suite su ce que j'allais faire, et j'étais hyper contente car ça faisait un moment que je voulais faire un nail art pied-de-poule.

When I first discovered the theme, I immediately knew what I was going to do, and I was really happy because it has been a while since I wanted to do an houndstooth nail art.

Comme couleur de base, j'ai utilisé le beau noir ténébreux aux particules scatter holo : "Darcy" de Picture Polish que j'ai posé en deux couches. Je kiffe tellement son nom ♥

As a base color, I used the beautiful dark black with scatter holo particles "Darcy" from Picture Polish, that I have applied in two layers. I am such in love with its name ♥.

Pour le double accent nail, j'ai utilisé du vernis adhésif que j'avais eu cadeau lors d'un achat chez Kiko. J'avais eu seulement deux doigts, mais comme ils sont très longs, j'ai pu tout de même faire les deux mains.

For the double accent nail, I used nail art strips that I had as a gift for a purchase at Kiko's. I had only two fingers, but as they are very long, I still have been able to do both hands.

J'avais déjà testé le vernis adhésif de chez Sephora et j'avais adoré, ceux-là sont également une vraie tuerie, j'ai tout autant aimé !!!

I had already tried the adhesive nail lacquer from Sephora and I loved it, those are really stunning too, I just loved them as much !!!

C'est super rapide et facile à utiliser, et j'ai ADORÉ porter cette manucure, elle a tenu super longtemps, et j'ai été vraiment dégoûtée de l'enlever. Le seul défaut, c'est qu'une fois que tu as ouvert le sachet, il faut l'utiliser, sinon le vernis sèche et devient inutilisable.

It's super fast and easy to use, and I LOVED wearing this manicure, it held a long time, and I was really sad to remove it. The only downside is that once you open the bag, it must be used, otherwise the varnish dries and becomes unusable.

✝ Holoween // Weekly Nail Art Challenge

Depuis le début du mois, grâce à l'initative de ma copine Dorothy Nail Assay, je participe désormais au "Weekly Nail Art Challenge", WNAC pour les intimes.

Since the beginning of the month, thanks to the initative of my girlfriend Dorothy Nail Assay, I now take part to the "Weekly Nail Art Challenge", or WNAC for short.

C'est un défi nail art pour lequel, on doit réaliser un nail art par semaine, un peu comme le nailstorming. Il y à un thème général par mois, ce mois-ci : Holo, puis un deuxième thème par semaine, cette semaine : Holoween.

It is a nail art challenge for which, we must realize a nail art per week, a bit like the nailstorming. There is a general theme per month, this month : Holo, then a second theme per week, this week : Holoween.

Tu l'auras donc compris, cette semaine, le but était de réaliser un nail art holographique pour Halloween. J'ai décider de réaliser un nail art simple à la portée de toutes contrairement au "nail art" d'Halloween que j'ai réalisé pour le dernier nailstorming.

So, you shall have understood that this week, the goal was to create an holographic nail art for Halloween. I choose to make a simple nail art easy for all unlike the Halloween "nail art" I realized for last nailstorming.

Pour ce nail art, rien de plus simple, deux vernis : un orange un noir. Pour le vernis de base, à vrai dire, tu peux choisir le vernis de la couleur de ton choix, holographique ou non.

For this nail art, nothing more simple, two nail polishes : one orange, one black. For the base nail lacquer, in fact, you can choose the color of your choice, holographic or not.

J'ai choisi le joli vernis orange holographique "Drunken Gummi Bears" de Powder Perfect provenant de la "What's In-die Box" de février sur le thème des cocktails.

I chose the pretty orange holographic nail varnish "Drunken Gummi Bears" from Powder Perfect from the cocktails themed February "What's In die-Box". 

Pour le noir cela se complique un peu, si tu veux réaliser exactement le même nail art, il te faudra absolument le vernis "Arty Pois" de Sephora qui est "un top coat à effets".

For the black it gets a bit complicated, if you want to achieve exactly the same nail art, you will absolutely need the nail polish "Arty Pois" from Sephora" which is an effects top coat."

Ce qui est super fun avec ce top coat, c'est que selon l'épaisseur de la couche, on a un rendu assez différent (plus ou moins gros "trous"), et il se rétracte tout seul, ce qui donne cet effet de french inversée. D'ailleurs, il ne faut surtout pas mettre de top coat transparent, si on veut conserver cet effet ! Voilà les filles, Joyeux Halloween.

The great thing about this top coat is that depending on the thickness of the layer, we have a quite different outcome (more or less large "holes"), and it retracts itself, which gives this reverse french effect. Moreover, it is important not to put clear top coat, if you want to preserve this look ! Here you are girls, Happy Halloween !
