🍹 Mon Métier (de Rêve) // Nailstorming

Comme chaque dimanche, on se retrouve aujourd'hui pour le nailstorming. Cette semaine, le thème est : "Mon Métier ou Mon Métier de Rêve".

Hello girls,
Like every Sunday, we meet today for the nailstorming. This week's theme is: "My Job or My Dream Job." 

Bon, moi j'ai un gros problème, je suis une touche à tout, et malgré mon "âge avancé", je ne sais toujours pas ce que je veux faire plus tard, sauf que plus tard = maintenant !

Well, I have a big problem, I'm kind of a jack of all trades, and despite my "advanced age", I still don't know what I want to do later, except later is now !

Pendant six mois, je veux être décoratrice d'intérieur, puis je veux intégrer l'armée, puis, je veux être prof d'anglais, puis je veux être photographe, puis je veux être maquilleuse professionnelle, enfin bref, ça n'arrête jamais !!!

For six months, I want to be an interior designer, then I want to join the army, then I want to be an English teacher, then I want to be a photographer, then I want to be a professional makeup artist, in short, it does never stop !!! 

Non pas, que je ne sache pas ce que je veux faire dans la vie, au contraire, je veux faire tellement de choses ! Et je n'arrive pas à me fixer sur un seul métier, je trouve ça vraiment triste en fait de devoir faire la même chose toute sa vie.

No, that I don't know what I want do with my life, on the contrary, I want to do so many things ! And I cannot settling on only one trade, I find it really sad having to do the same thing throughout our life.

J'ai quand même un vrai métier de rêve, c'est de bosser dans l'humanitaire, et de me rendre utile. Je devais partir l'année prochaine en mission d'ailleurs mais pour l'instant, je n'ai pas de suite...

I still do have a real dream job, it is to work into humanitarian and making myself useful. By the way, I should go next year on a mission but for now, it's on hold...

Donc, aujourd'hui, j'ai décidé de te parler plutôt d'un métier que j'ai exercé pendant six ans : barman. Je trouvais que c'était un métier sympa à illustrer en nail art, et ce fût une bonne expérience professionnelle pour moi !

So today I've decided to talk to you instead of a profession that I've worked for six years : bartender. I thought it was a fun job to illustrate as a nail art, and it was a good professional experience for me ! 

Pour cela, j'ai tout d'abord réalisé un dégradé utilisant les couleurs du célèbre et délicieux cocktail "Sex On The Beach". J'ai choisi les sublimes néons de la collection "A Night In Vegas" de Pipe Dream Polish : le rose "On The List", et le orange"110 Degrees".

To do so, I first realized a gradient using the colors of the famous and yummy cocktail "Sex On The Beach". I chose the gorgeous neons from the collection "A Night In Vegas" of Pipe Dream Polish : the pink "On The List" and the orange "110 Degrees".

Ensuite, et c'est là que ça se complique, j'ai utilisé des nails stickers de chez Claire's. C'est une planche contenant pleins de verres à cocktails tout mimi que j'avais acheté en soldes (heureusement).

Then, and this is where it's getting complicated, I used some nails stickers from Claire's. This is a board full of cute cocktails drinks designs, I bought on sale (thankfully).

Voilà ils ont beaux être mimi, ils sont tout pourris... J'ai posé une couche de top coat après avoir posé les nails stickers, et là ils se sont tous racornis sur eux-même, donnant un effet horrible, et surtout importable... J'ai donc du enlever mon joli nail art tout de suite après l'avoir posé :/
 
They might be cute, but they are crappy... I put a layer of top coat after placing the nails stickers, and they all shriveled on themselves, giving an ugly effect, especially unwearable... so I had to remove my pretty nail art right after asking it :/

♀ Journée de Lutte Contre les Violences faîtes aux Femmes // Nailstorming

Aujourd'hui, c'est dimanche et c'est donc le jour du Nailstorming. Cette semaine, le thème est dédié à la "Journée de Lutte Contre les Violences faîtes aux Femmes".

Today, it is Sunday and it is the day of the Nailstorming. This week, the theme is dedicated to the "Day Against the Violences done to Women".

On est toutes concernées, cela peut nous arriver à toutes, et sans rentrer dans trop de détails, j'ai moi-même été harcelée par un ancien petit ami, et je ne le souhaite à personne. Je tenais donc d'autant plus à participer aujourd'hui, même si je ne suis pas du tout à plaindre !

We are all concerned, this can happen to all of us, and without getting into too many details, I was myself harassed by a former boyfriend, and I would not wish it on anyone. So I wanted to participate especially today, even if I am not at all to complain !

J'ai donc décidé d'utiliser le orange le plus voyant de ma vernithèque (j'en ai pas 40 en même temps), et c'est donc le très beau orange néon "110 Degrees" de Pipe Dream Polish que j'ai utilisé sur mon pouce, mon index, et mon auriculaire.

So I decided to use the orange the most bright of my stash (I don't have 40 at the same time), and so, it's the beautiful neon orange "110 Degrees" from Pipe Dream Polish which I used on my thumb, my index finger and my pinky. 

Sur le majeur et l'annulaire, j'ai décidé de réaliser un double accent nail. J'ai utilisé "Blanc" d'essie en base. Puis j'ai choisi des fleurs comme symbole de la féminité. Je ne suis pas trop fleurs personnellement, mais je trouve que ça collait bien au thème.

On the middle and ring fingers, I decided to make a double accent nail. I used "Blanc" from essie as a base. Then I chose flowers as a symbol of feminity. I'm not really into flowers personally, but I found that it fitted well with the theme.

It is opaque in three thin layers. All the polishes from the collection have a shimmer and a matte finish, but once top coated, it looks like gel.

Je l'ai déjà utilisé pour nail arter par ici. Et comme tous les vernis de la collection, c'est un bonheur à poser, sa texture est hyper agréable !

I already used it for a nail art right here. And like all the polishes of the collection, it is a joy to lay, its texture is super nice !

110 degrés Fahrenheit correspondent à 43 degrés Celsius pour la petite histoire. Moi qui n'aime pas trop le orange, j'ai adoré le porter, et j'ai eu pleins de compliments, tout le monde croyait que j'avais des ongles en gel ou en résine, tellement ils sont bluffants !

Just for the record, 110 degrees Fahrenheit correspond to 43 degrees Celsius. Me who do not like orange, I loved wearing it, and I got lots of compliments, everyone thought I had gel or resin nails, they are so bluffing !

Aujourd'hui pas de nailstorming mais un nail art réalisé pour un complot. Et cette fois, pas d'anniversaire, on est là pour parler de La Journée internationale contre l’homophobie et la transphobie.

Today no nailstorming, but a nail art done for a plot. And this time, no birthday, we are here to talk about the International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia.
 

Je ne veux pas faire débat. Mais, je n'arrive pas à comprendre comment est-il possible que le racisme ou l'homophobie existent encore à notre époque ?

I do not want to debate. But, I do not understand how is it possible that racism or homophobia are still existing nowadays ?
 

Malheureusement il existera toujours des personnes contre quelque chose, et c'est pourquoi à mon échelle, j'ai souhaité participer à ma façon à cette journée.

Unfortunately there will always be people against something, which is why on my scale, I wanted to participate in my way to that day.

D'ailleurs savais-tu que La Journée internationale contre l’homophobie et la transphobie à lieu le 17 mai, car c'est le jour ou l’homosexualité a été retirée de la liste des maladies mentales le 17 mai 1990 par l’Organisation mondiale de la santé (OMS). Consternant, non ?

Besides, did you know that The International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia is held on May 17, as this is the day that homosexuality was removed from the list of mental illnesses May 17th 1990 by the Organization World Health (OWH). Appalling, right ?

Enfin bref, pour revenir sur une note plus futile, j'ai décidé de m'inspirer du drapeau multicolore représentatif du mouvement LGBT, mais qui est aussi utilisé comme drapeau pour la paix.

Anyway, to get back on a more frivolous note, I decided to take my inspiration from the representative multicolored flag of the LGBT movement, which is also used as a flag for peace.
 

J'ai donc utilisé mes vernis chouchous du moment : la collection néon "A Night In Vegas" de Pipe Dream Polish. J'ai utilisé tous les vernis de la collection sauf le turquoise qui n'est pas présent sur le drapeau.

So I used my darlings nail polishes of the moment : the neon collection "A Night In Vegas" from Pipe Dream Polish. I used all the nail lacquers from the collection except the teal which is not present on the flag.

J'ai réalisé un dégradé vertical bicolore par ongle. Sur le pouce : "On The List" et "110 Degrees", sur l'index "110 Degrees" et "Light of Day", sur le majeur "Light Of Day" et "High Roller", sur l'annulaire, "High Roller" et "All In", et pour terminer sur l'auriculaire, "All In" et "V.I.P. Pass".

I did a two-tone vertical gradient by nail. On the thumb : "On The List" and "110 Degrees", on the index "110 Degrees" and "Light of Day", on the middle finger "Light Of Day" and "High Roller" on ring finger, "High Roller" and "All In", and finally on the little finger, "All In" and "V.I.P. Pass".

Et pour terminer, j'ai ajouté des paillettes pour égayer et unifier le tout. J'ai utilisé mon top coat pailleté holographique " Fairy Dust" de China Glaze.

And finally, I added some glitter to brighten and unify teverything. I used my beloved holographic glitter top coat "Fairy Dust" from China Glaze.

Here we are today for a plot to celebrate the birthday of my blogger pal Bénédicte of the blog Nail Polish Is Peachy !

Tout d'abord, je tiens à souhaiter à Béné un très bon anniversaire !!! C'est une fille hyper douée et talentueuse, et qui plus est super sympa !!! Si tu ne la connais pas encore, il faut absolument que tu fasses un tour sur son blog !!

First of all, I would like to wish a very happy birthday to Béné !!! She is an hyper gifted and talented girl, and besides really friendly !!! If you do not know her, you have to take a ride on her blog !!
 

Béné aimant le rock / métal, le thème pour ce complot était de faire un nail art métal. Oui, seulement moi, c'est pas du tout mon truc le métal, et j'avais pas envie de réaliser quelque chose qui ne me correspondait pas ou que je n'aimerais pas !

Béné loving rock / metal, the theme for this plot was to make a metal nail art. Yes, but, metal is not really my thing, and I did not want to do something which did not correspond me or which I would not like the outcome !

Du coup, j'ai décidé de réaliser un nail art un peu plus personnel. Et je sais que Béné et moi, on a autre chose que le nail art en commun, c'est l'Inde !! En effet, elle y à vécu il y à quelques années et mon chéri est d'origine indienne.

So, I have decided to realize a nail art a bit more personal. I know that Béné and I have something else than nail art in common, it's India !! Indeed, she lived there a few years ago,  and my beloved is of Indian origin.

Puis comme j'adore les nail arts d'inspiration indienne, je ne rate jamais une occasion d'en réaliser :p Et, on peut toujours dire que le métal que j'ai choisi de représenter est l'or !!!

Then as I love Indian-inspired nail art, I never miss an opportunity to do some :p And we can always say that the metal I chose to represent is gold !!!

Pour réaliser ce nail art, j'ai choisi d'utiliser en base mon vernis néon orange chouchou : "110 degrees" de la collection "A Night In Vegas" de Pipe Dream Polish. Il est opaque en deux couches.

To achieve this nail art, as a base color, I chose to use my darling neon orange nail polish : "110 degrees" from the collection "A Night In Vegas" of Pipe Dream Polish. It is opaque in two layers.

D'ailleurs, j'espère que tu ne m'en voudras pas, mes photos sont un peu dark afin de restituer la néonitude (oui, oui, c'est français) la plus fidèle possible. Je n'ai fait aucune retouche colorimétrique sur ces photos.

Besides, I hope you won't be upset, my pictures are a bit dark to suit the neonness (yes, yes, it's English) as faithfully as possible. I have made no color editing on these photos.
 

Après avoir posé mon "110 degrees", j'ai posé quelques paillettes à l'aide du top coat pailleté doré holographique "Gingerbread" de Color Club. J'ai réalisé un stamping avec le doré métallisé "Good As Gold" d'Essie et la plaque BBF-29.

After asking "110 degrees", I put some glitter by using the golden holographic glitter top coat "Gingerbread" from Color Club. I made a stamping with the metallic gold "Good As Gold" from Essie and the BBF-29 stamping plate.

☬ Holi // Nailstorming

On se retrouve en ce dimanche pour le traditionnel nailstorming. Et cette semaine, le thème me tient particulièrement à coeur puisqu'il s'agit d'Holi. L'année dernière, j'avais proposé le thème, et je suis ravie de voir que Mademoiselle Emma, a décidé de le renouveller cette année !

Here we are on this Sunday for the traditional nailstorming. This week, the theme is close to my heart because it is Holi. Last year, I had proposed the theme, and I am thrilled to see that Mademoiselle Emma has decided to renew it this year !
 

Pour celles qui me suivent, namoureux est d'origine indienne, cela me fait dont toujours super plaisirs de réaliser des nail arts d'inspirations, indiennes. Je ne pourrais faire que ça à vrai dire, tellement, je suis fan de cet univers coloré, chaleureux, et de ces motifs.

For those who follow me my BF is has indian origins, so that always makes me great pleasure to make an Indian inspired nail art.To be honest, I could do only that, I'm such a fan of this colorful, and warm universe, and of those patterns.

Mais je pense que tu te lasserais à force, même si j'essaie toujours de varier mes nail arts indiens. Comme pour mon nail art de l'année dernière, j'ai hésité entre faire quelque chose vraiment en rapport avec Holi, ou plus général type bollywood.

But I guess you would be fed up in the end, even though I am always trying to vary my Indian nail arts. Just like for my last year's nail art, I hesitated between doing something really related to Holi, or most general bollywood type.

Finalement, je me suis dit que je n'aurai pas d'autre occasion avant l'année prochaine de refaire un nail art pour Holi, alors que je peux faire des nail arts indiens toute l'année. Je me suis donc orientée vers un nail art très coloré pour célébrer Holi.

Finally, I said to myself that I would not get another chance until next year to make another nail art for Holi, while I can make nail Indian arts throughout the year. So I geared towards a colorful nail art to celebrate Holi.

Pour cela, j'ai sorti mes vernis les plus colorés de ma collection : la collection de vernis néons "A Night In Vegas" de Pipe Dream Polish. Dont voici la liste : le rose "On The List", le corail "110 degrees", le jaune "Light Of Day", le vert "High Roller", le teal "Happy Hour", le bleu "All In", et enfin le violet "V.I.P. Pass".

To do that, I took my most colorful nail polishes from my stash : the neon nail polish collection from Pipe Dream Polish : "A Night In Vegas". As listed below : the pink "On The List", the coral "110 degrees", the yellow "Light Of Day", the green "High Roller", the teal "Happy Hour", the blue "All In", and finally the purple "V.I.P. Pass".

En base, j'ai tout d'abord posé deux couches de "Blanc" d'Essie. Puis, après une couche de top coat accélérateur de séchage, j'ai tapoté à l'éponge mes vernis néons un à un, jusqu'à obtenir quelque chose d'harmonieux à mon goût. J'ai ensuite stampé de nouveau avec "Blanc" d'Essie, et la plaque "Explorer - 03" de Mo You. Un motif différent sur chaque doigt.

First of all, I put two layers of "Blanc" by Essie. Then, a layer of dry fast top coat, I tapped my neon nail polishes one by one with a sponge, until I get something smooth for my taste. Then I stamped again with "Blanc" by Essie, and the stamping plate "Explorer - 03" by Mo You. A different pattern on each finger.

Ça n'a pas forcément besoin d'être parfait, cela donne justement un effet d'étoffe un peu différent que j'aime assez. Au final, je regrette de ne pas avoir fait quelque chose d'un peu plus classe, mais j'aime l'esprit coloré qui est tout à fait dans l'esprit de Holi, et qui est idéal en ces jours de beau temps.

It does not necessarily need to be perfect, it gives a fabric effect a little different that I like enough. In the end, I regret not having done something a little more classy, but I do like the colorful spirit which is very much in the mind of Holi and which is ideal during these sunny days.
