☬ Un Nail Art pour Holi, la fête des couleurs en Inde

Coucou les filles,
Aujourd'hui, voici un nail art réalisé pour un nouveau challenge nail art auquel je participe : le clairestelle8challenge qui se déroule sur Instagram.

Il s'agit d'un challenge nail art qui a lieu tous les 3 jours. Le 1er jour du mois, une série de thèmes est donné pour le mois, et l'on réalise ceux que l'on veut quand on le veut.

C'est la première fois que je participe et je ne pouvais pas laisser passer le thème du jour qui est Holi. Au cas où tu ne le saurais pas encore l'année dernière j'étais en Inde pendant 6 mois et c'est donc un thème qui me tient particulièrement à coeur.

Holi est un des plus gros festivals célébrés en Inde avec Diwali. Holi est la fête des couleurs et célèbre l'arrivée du Printemps. Je n'ai malheureusement pas eu la chance d'y assister pour l'instant, mais un jour je l'espère !

J'avais déjà réalisé un nail pour Holi en 2015 que tu peux revoir en cliquant ici. Je préfère d'ailleurs la version 2015 que je trouve plus colorée et dans l'esprit de Holi.

Cette année, j'ai posée en base "Afternoon Delight", un nude holographique d'Enchanted pour simuler la couleur de la peau. (Pendant Holi, on se jette des poudres colorées les uns sur les autres).

Pour faire ensuite de poudres colorées, j'ai stampé des motifs de la plaque de stamping loja bbf 38. J'ai utilisé les vernis néons suivants de pipe dream polish : sur le pouce : "on the list" / "110 degrees", sur l'index : "rhythm" / "light of day" / "high "roller", sur le majeur : "tabanca" / "happy hour", sur l'annulaire : "celebration" / "all in" / "harlequin", et enfin sur l'auriculaire : "harlequin" / "masquerader". Et voilà !

☼ Les vernis que j'ai emmené en Inde

Me re-voilà après un petit mois d'absence. Et oui, si vous me suivez régulièrement, vous avez pu voir que j'ai quitté la France pour m'installer en Inde, c'est pour l'instant temporaire (6 mois) mais il se peut que j'y reste plus longtemps ! Toujours est-il que j'avais prévu de continuer de bloguer au même rythme, cela dit, mes débuts en Inde furent peuplés d'aventure et assez chaotiques ! Ainsi j'ai été privée d'ordinateur pendant quasiment un mois, j'ai enfin pu le récupérer cette semaine et me voilà donc de retour avec un article qui vient à point sur les vernis que j'ai emmené avec moi !

Quand on a environ 800 vernis à ongles (si ce n'est plus), il est très difficile de se raisonner et de se limiter lorsque l'on part en voyage, alors quand on part pour une durée de 6 mois, c'est quasi mission impossible de prédire ce qu'on voudra porter et quand on voudra le porter ! Initialement, je ne voulais pas emporter plus de 10 vernis mais c'était vraiment trop peu. Finalement, j'ai quand même été plutôt raisonnable et je n'ai pris avec moi que 15 vernis plus une base, un top coat et un soin pour cuticules.

I'm finally bach after a one month absence. Yes, if you are following me regularly, you might have noticed that I left France to settle in India, for now it's temporary (6 months) but I might stay longer ! Still, I had planned to continue to blog at the same pace, that said, my debut in India were filled with adventures and quite chaotic ! So I was deprived of a computer for almost a month, I finally got it back this week and here I am also back with an article that is timely about the nail polishes that I took with me!

When you have about 800 nail polishes (if not more), it is very difficult to reason and to limit yourself when you're going on a journey, so when you leave for 6 months, the mission is almost impossible to predict what you will wear and when you will want to wear it! Initially, I did not want take more than 10 nail lacquers but it was really too little. Finally, I still was quite reasonable and I took with me only 15 nail varnishes and a base coat, a top coat and a care for cuticles.

Comme je partais en Inde, je voulais des couleurs chaudes, vives, néons, lumineuses et aussi super holographiques pour les texturés. J'ai voulu prendre avec moi un spectre de couleur assez large pour avoir un peu de tout, je voulais des vernis qui soient jolis pour les mains, mais pour les pieds également.

Voilà donc les heureux élus : "Raspberry Gummy Bear" d'Eat Sleep Polish est un rouge // rose super holographique, je ne suis d'ordinaire pas très rouge, mais celui-ci est vraiment unique, c'est mon rouge préféré, et je me suis dit qu'un beau rouge ça passe toujours bien. Ensuite de nouveau un Eat Sleep Polish avec le beau "Freddy The Flamingo", un rouge // rose // corail super beau, il à l'air proche de "Raspberry Gummy Bear" comme ça, mais pas du tout, les deux sont parfaits pour l'Inde ! Le beau "Book Fair" de Pretty Jelly est un vernis rose fluo // néon super méga holographique (merci à ma blopine Schette de l'avoir mis dans un swap juste avant mon départ). J'avais aussi envie d'un rose tout doux avec le très beau "Back To The Fuchsia" un vernis holographique de Cupcake Polish.

As I was going to India, I wanted warm, bright, vivid, neon colors, and also super holographic for textured. I wanted to take with me a large color spectrum so i would have a bit of everything. I wanted nail polishes that are pretty for the hands, but also for the feet.

These are the lucky ones: "Raspberry Gummy Bear" from Eat Sleep Polish is a super holographic red //pink, I'm not usually very fond of red, but this one is really unique, this is my favorite red, and I thought that a beautiful red is always usefull. Then again a Eat Sleep Polish with the beautiful "Freddy The Flamingo", a super beautiful red // rose // coral, it looks close to "Raspberry Gummy Bear" like that, but not all, both are perfects for India! The beautiful "Book Fair" from Pretty Jelly is a neon // fluo pink super mega holographic nail lacquer (thank you to my blopine Schette for putting it in a swap just before I left). I also wanted a soft pink with the beautiful "Back To The Fuchsia" an holographic nail varnish from Cupcake Polish.

Ensuite, je voulais quelques néons crèmes, j'ai donc pris : "Beach Bag" de Models Own, "Shades" de Models Own, et "Rave" de Claire's. Je voulais prendre "Flip Flop Fantasy", LE célèbre néon de China Glaze, mais sachant qu'il n'est pas très opaque et plutôt épais, j'ai préféré prendre ceux-là. Cela dit, avec la chaleur qu'il fait ici, fais attention car les vernis ont tendance à être beaucoup plus épais et pâteux, surtout lorsque l'on n'a pas la clim ce qui est mon cas :O Enfin, j'ai pris un petit thermo, car c'est le moment ou jamais de le porter ! Il s'agit du bien nommé "Blue Bombay" (je vis à Bombay) de Sweet City.

Then I wanted some cream neon polishes, so I took "Beach Bag" from Models Own, "Shades" from Models Own, and "Rave" from Claire's. I wanted to take "Flip Flop Fantasy", THE famous neon from China Glaze, but knowing that it is not very thick and rather opaque, I preferred to take those instead. That said, with the heat around here, be careful because the nail lacquers are tending to be much thicker and doughy, especially when you have no AC which is my case :O Finally, I took a little thermo, because it's the perfect opportunity to wear it! This is the aptly named "Blue Bombay" (I live in Bombay) from Sweet City.

Ensuite, quelques couleurs un peu plus froides mais toujours aussi vives : le sublime violet "Monsters Ink" d'Enchanted Polish. J'ai pris celui-là, car j'adore sa teinte très flash et je me suis dit qu'il serait parfait ici. "Ohana" de Glam Polish est un rouge // bordeaux // prune au shimmer doré et aux flakies rouges, il est un peu plus automnal, mais je me suis dit qu'il serait parfait pour une soirée ou un évenement par exemple ! On ne sait jamais !!! Puis le très beau "Cerrillos" de Cirque qui est un sublime bleu lagon holographique. Et pour terminer le surprenant "Araminta" de Cupcake Polish, celui-là fait partie d'un duo que j'avais acheté pour l'autre vernis qui s'appelle "Koralie" (mon prénom), et je n'étais pas trop fan de celui-là en flacon, mais posé c'est une autre histoire, il est magnifique !!!

Then some cooler shades, but still bright: the sublime purple "Monsters Ink" from Enchanted Polish. I took that one, because I love its very flash hue and I thought it would be perfect here. "Ohana" from Glam Polish is a red // burgundy // plum with a golden shimmer and red flakies, it is a little more autumnal, but I thought it would be perfect for a party or an event for example! We never know !!! Then the beautiful "Cerrillos" from Cirque is a sublime holographic blue lagoon. And finally the surprising "Araminta" from Cupcake Polish, that one is part of a duo that I had bought for the other nail lacquer named "Koralie" (my first name), I'm not too fan of that in the bottle, but once laid this is another story, it is sublime !!!

Puis pour terminer, j'ai emmené quelques indispensables : ma base coat et mon top coat, une huile pour cuticules à la pastèque d'Eat Sleep Polish, un vernis blanc (Porcelain ll de sèche), un vernis noir ("Licorice" d'essie), et un métallisé ("Penny Talk" d'essie) pour nail arter car j'ai aussi pris deux plaques de stamping aux motifs indiens. Cela dit je ne pense pas avoir le temps de nail arter ici. Surtout qu'avec la chaleur, c'est vraiment une plaie de poser un vernis !!!!

Then finally, I took a few essentials: my base coat and my top coat, a watermelon cuticle oil from Eat Sleep Polish, a white varnish (Porcelain ll by sèche), a black varnish ("Licorice" from essie), and a metallic one ("Penny Talk" from essie) to nail art because I also took two stamping plates with Indian patterns. That said I don't think I'll have enough time to nail art here. Especially with the heat, it's really a sore to ask nail polish here !!!!

☬ Nail Art Bollywood

J'ai donc décidé de vous faire un petit nail art spécialement pour l'occasion. Ça faisait longtemps que je n'en avais pas fait alors j'avoue que ça me manquait !

So I've decided to do a little nail art especially for the occasion. It's been awhile since I had not done any, and I must admit that I missed it !

Tout d'abord, je tiens à souhaiter à Béné un très bon anniversaire !!! C'est une fille hyper douée et talentueuse, et qui plus est super sympa !!! Si tu ne la connais pas encore, il faut absolument que tu fasses un tour sur son blog !!

First of all, I would like to wish a very happy birthday to Béné !!! She is an hyper gifted and talented girl, and besides really friendly !!! If you do not know her, you have to take a ride on her blog !!
 

Béné aimant le rock / métal, le thème pour ce complot était de faire un nail art métal. Oui, seulement moi, c'est pas du tout mon truc le métal, et j'avais pas envie de réaliser quelque chose qui ne me correspondait pas ou que je n'aimerais pas !

Béné loving rock / metal, the theme for this plot was to make a metal nail art. Yes, but, metal is not really my thing, and I did not want to do something which did not correspond me or which I would not like the outcome !

Du coup, j'ai décidé de réaliser un nail art un peu plus personnel. Et je sais que Béné et moi, on a autre chose que le nail art en commun, c'est l'Inde !! En effet, elle y à vécu il y à quelques années et mon chéri est d'origine indienne.

So, I have decided to realize a nail art a bit more personal. I know that Béné and I have something else than nail art in common, it's India !! Indeed, she lived there a few years ago,  and my beloved is of Indian origin.

Puis comme j'adore les nail arts d'inspiration indienne, je ne rate jamais une occasion d'en réaliser :p Et, on peut toujours dire que le métal que j'ai choisi de représenter est l'or !!!

Then as I love Indian-inspired nail art, I never miss an opportunity to do some :p And we can always say that the metal I chose to represent is gold !!!

Pour réaliser ce nail art, j'ai choisi d'utiliser en base mon vernis néon orange chouchou : "110 degrees" de la collection "A Night In Vegas" de Pipe Dream Polish. Il est opaque en deux couches.

To achieve this nail art, as a base color, I chose to use my darling neon orange nail polish : "110 degrees" from the collection "A Night In Vegas" of Pipe Dream Polish. It is opaque in two layers.

D'ailleurs, j'espère que tu ne m'en voudras pas, mes photos sont un peu dark afin de restituer la néonitude (oui, oui, c'est français) la plus fidèle possible. Je n'ai fait aucune retouche colorimétrique sur ces photos.

Besides, I hope you won't be upset, my pictures are a bit dark to suit the neonness (yes, yes, it's English) as faithfully as possible. I have made no color editing on these photos.
 

Après avoir posé mon "110 degrees", j'ai posé quelques paillettes à l'aide du top coat pailleté doré holographique "Gingerbread" de Color Club. J'ai réalisé un stamping avec le doré métallisé "Good As Gold" d'Essie et la plaque BBF-29.

After asking "110 degrees", I put some glitter by using the golden holographic glitter top coat "Gingerbread" from Color Club. I made a stamping with the metallic gold "Good As Gold" from Essie and the BBF-29 stamping plate.

๛ Tattoo Nailstorming

En ce dimanche, nous nous retrouvons comme d'habitude pour notre rendez-vous hebdomadaire : le nailstorming. Et cette semaine, le thème est Tattoo Nails.

This Sunday we meet as usual for our weekly appointment : the nailstorming. And this week, the theme is Tattoo Nails.

Seulement voilà, j'ai déjà réalisé un nail art tattoo que tu peux revoir ici, il y à très peu de temps. J'ai pensé un moment à réaliser le nail art opposé avec le mot HATE au lieu de LOVE.

But then, I have already done a tattoo nail art that you can see here, a short time ago. I thought a while to realize the opposite nail art with the word HATE instead of LOVE.

Mais, c'était trop frais, j'avais envie de faire autre chose. J'ai eu plusieurs autres idées : tatouages rock, skulls, marin, hirondelles, etc...

But it was too recent, I felt like doing something else. I had several ideas : rock, skulls, sailor, swallows tattoos, etc ...
 

N'étant pas du tout tatouage, j'ai eu envie d'orienter mon nail art vers autre chose. Puis j'ai eu l'idée de faire un nail art mehendi // henné qui me correspond beaucoup plus.

Not being at all a tattoo girl, I wanted to focus my nail art on something else. Then, I had the idea to do a mehendi // henna nail art that suits me more.

J'ai donc tout d'abord posé mon vernis nude favori "Milky Ways" de Lime Crime. C'est celui qui correspond le mieux à ma carnation, et bien qu'ayant beaucoup de vernis nudes, c'est toujours celui-là que je choisis. Il est opaque en trois couches.

First of all, I put my favorite nude polish "Milky Ways" from Lime Crime. This is the one that suits best my complexion, and despite having many nude nail polishes, it's always the one that I choose. It is opaque in three layers.
 

J'ai ensuite décidé de réaliser un stamping. Et parmi les nombreux motifs indiens // orientaux à ma disposition, j'ai choisi la plaque n° 29 de la marque BBF. Je ne peux rien y faire, à chaque fois que je vois un motif indien, ou oriental, il me faut la plaque !

Then I decided to do a stamping. And among the many Indian // Oriental patterns at my disposal, I chose the plate n° 29 from the BBF brand. I can not help it, every time I see an indian or oriental pattern, I need the plate !

Pour le stamping, j'ai utilisé le très beau marron "Lady Godiva" d'Essie. J'ai hésité à matifier le tout, mais j'aimais bien le résultat alors, j'ai laissé tel quel.

For the stamping I used the beautiful brown nail lacquer "Lady Godiva" from Essie. I hesitated to matify everything, but I liked the result so I left it alone. 

Avec le soleil de plus en plus présent, j'ai trouvé ça sympa en plus de faire ce nail art. Voilà pour aujourd'hui, j'espère que cela te plaît ? Je vais voir les tatouages des copines maintenant !

With the sun more and more present, I thought it was quite nice to do this nail art. So much for today, I hope you like it ? I'm gonna look for the others girls tattoos now !
 

☬ Holi // Nailstorming

On se retrouve en ce dimanche pour le traditionnel nailstorming. Et cette semaine, le thème me tient particulièrement à coeur puisqu'il s'agit d'Holi. L'année dernière, j'avais proposé le thème, et je suis ravie de voir que Mademoiselle Emma, a décidé de le renouveller cette année !

Here we are on this Sunday for the traditional nailstorming. This week, the theme is close to my heart because it is Holi. Last year, I had proposed the theme, and I am thrilled to see that Mademoiselle Emma has decided to renew it this year !
 

Pour celles qui me suivent, namoureux est d'origine indienne, cela me fait dont toujours super plaisirs de réaliser des nail arts d'inspirations, indiennes. Je ne pourrais faire que ça à vrai dire, tellement, je suis fan de cet univers coloré, chaleureux, et de ces motifs.

For those who follow me my BF is has indian origins, so that always makes me great pleasure to make an Indian inspired nail art.To be honest, I could do only that, I'm such a fan of this colorful, and warm universe, and of those patterns.

Mais je pense que tu te lasserais à force, même si j'essaie toujours de varier mes nail arts indiens. Comme pour mon nail art de l'année dernière, j'ai hésité entre faire quelque chose vraiment en rapport avec Holi, ou plus général type bollywood.

But I guess you would be fed up in the end, even though I am always trying to vary my Indian nail arts. Just like for my last year's nail art, I hesitated between doing something really related to Holi, or most general bollywood type.

Finalement, je me suis dit que je n'aurai pas d'autre occasion avant l'année prochaine de refaire un nail art pour Holi, alors que je peux faire des nail arts indiens toute l'année. Je me suis donc orientée vers un nail art très coloré pour célébrer Holi.

Finally, I said to myself that I would not get another chance until next year to make another nail art for Holi, while I can make nail Indian arts throughout the year. So I geared towards a colorful nail art to celebrate Holi.

Pour cela, j'ai sorti mes vernis les plus colorés de ma collection : la collection de vernis néons "A Night In Vegas" de Pipe Dream Polish. Dont voici la liste : le rose "On The List", le corail "110 degrees", le jaune "Light Of Day", le vert "High Roller", le teal "Happy Hour", le bleu "All In", et enfin le violet "V.I.P. Pass".

To do that, I took my most colorful nail polishes from my stash : the neon nail polish collection from Pipe Dream Polish : "A Night In Vegas". As listed below : the pink "On The List", the coral "110 degrees", the yellow "Light Of Day", the green "High Roller", the teal "Happy Hour", the blue "All In", and finally the purple "V.I.P. Pass".

En base, j'ai tout d'abord posé deux couches de "Blanc" d'Essie. Puis, après une couche de top coat accélérateur de séchage, j'ai tapoté à l'éponge mes vernis néons un à un, jusqu'à obtenir quelque chose d'harmonieux à mon goût. J'ai ensuite stampé de nouveau avec "Blanc" d'Essie, et la plaque "Explorer - 03" de Mo You. Un motif différent sur chaque doigt.

First of all, I put two layers of "Blanc" by Essie. Then, a layer of dry fast top coat, I tapped my neon nail polishes one by one with a sponge, until I get something smooth for my taste. Then I stamped again with "Blanc" by Essie, and the stamping plate "Explorer - 03" by Mo You. A different pattern on each finger.

Ça n'a pas forcément besoin d'être parfait, cela donne justement un effet d'étoffe un peu différent que j'aime assez. Au final, je regrette de ne pas avoir fait quelque chose d'un peu plus classe, mais j'aime l'esprit coloré qui est tout à fait dans l'esprit de Holi, et qui est idéal en ces jours de beau temps.

It does not necessarily need to be perfect, it gives a fabric effect a little different that I like enough. In the end, I regret not having done something a little more classy, but I do like the colorful spirit which is very much in the mind of Holi and which is ideal during these sunny days.

☬ Nailstorming : Comme Mes Habits

Aujourd'hui c'est Nailstorming, et le thème de ce dimanche est : "Comme Mes Habits", le but : assortir ses ongles à ses habits.

Here is the Nailstorming as every sunday, today's theme is: "What You Wear", so the purpose is to match nails and clothes.

Si tu as l'habitude de me suivre, tu peux constater que c'est donc sans surprise que je me suis inspirée d'une tenue indienne pour réaliser ce nail art.

If you are used to follow me, you can see without surprise that I was inspired by an Indian outfit to create this nail art.

Ce thème avait déjà été proposé pour le Nailstorming et j'avais opté à l'époque pour le motif marin, nail art que tu peux revoir ici.

Enfin bref, revenons au nail art !  En base, j'ai posé le magnifique "Off The Shoulder" d'Essie en deux couches. J'ai ensuite stampé avec une plaque de Bundle Monster et "Good As Gold" d'Essie, et réalisé une sorte de moon manucure avec "Or Hi-Tech" de Bourjois.

Anyway, let's go back to nail art ! I applied two layers of the stunning "Off The Shouder" by Essie as base colour. Then I stamped with a Bundle Monster plate and "Good As Gold" by Essie, and I sort of realised a moon manicure with "Or Hi-Tech" by Bourjois.

Je trouvais que quelque chose manquait alors, j'ai rajouté des paillettes en faisant un petit dégradé de paillettes très léger avec "I'm Not Lion" de China Glaze, puis j'ai rajouté un strass ovale rose sur chaque ongle.

It felt like something missing, so I added glitter by doing a really slight glitter gradient with "I'm Not Lion" by China Glaze, then I added some pink oval strass on each nail.

J'ai beaucoup aimé réaliser et porter ce nail art qui à eu d'ailleurs son petit succès autour de moi. J'aime cet effet de tissu un peu used, coloré tel un saree, enfin tu l'aura compris, ce n'est surement pas mon dernier nail art d'inspiration indienne, j'espère que ça t'a plu ?

I loved doing and wearing this nail art which had a little success around me. I like this used fabric effect, like a colorful saree. Finally you will have understood, it is certainly not my last Indian-inspired nail art, I hope you enjoyed it ?
