▤ Du Maroilles pour la Journée Internationale du Fromage

Hier c'était le Nailstorming, et bien que j'ai eu fini mon nail art, je n'ai pas le temps d'écrire mon article. Voici donc un peu en retard mon nail art dédié au fromage pour la "Journée Internationale du Fromage".

Yesterday it was the Nailstorming, and even though I had finished my nail art, I did not have time to write my article. So here is a bit late my nail art dedicated to cheese for the "International Cheese Day".

Ce nail art en fait était pour l'anniversaire d'Aline_éa qui organise le Nailstorming tous les dimanches. Comme elle a également proposé le thème du fromage pour le Nailstorming, deux jours plus tard, je n'ai pas jugé bon de faire deux nail arts fromagers dans la même semaine.

This nail art actually was for the birthday of Aline_éa who organizes the Nailstorming every Sunday. As she also proposed the cheese theme for the Nailstorming, two days later I did not want to do two cheesy nail arts in the same week.

D'ailleurs initialement, j'avais prévu de faire un plateau de fromages sur mes ongles avec chaque ongle différent. Puis j'ai finalement décidé de m'inspirer de la croûte du Maroilles.

Besides, in the first place, I had planned to make a cheese tray on my nails with each nail different. Then I finally decided to take inspiration from the crust of Maroilles.

Pour la réalisation de ce nail art, j'ai tout d'abord posé le jaune pastel "Banana Split" de Models Own. Il est opaque en trois couches et est un peu chiant à poser comme tous les vernis à ongles pastels.

For the realization of this nail art, I first posed the pastel yellow "Banana Split" of Models Own. It is opaque in three layers and is a bit annoying to lay like all the pastels nail polishes.

Puis, j'ai finalement fait un sponging, comme ce que j'aurais du faire pour le Nailstorming d'il y à deux semaines...

Then I finally did a sponging, like what I should have done for the two weeks ago's Nailstorming ...

Pour cela, j'ai posé aléatoirement "Peach Melba" de Models Own, et "All Tied Up" d'essie. Puis pour finir quelques touches de "Porcelain ll" de Sèche.

To do so, I randomly used "Peach Melba" by Models Own, and "All Tied Up" by essie. Then to finish, some touches of "Porcelain ll" from Sèche.

Enfin, j'ai appliqué une couche de top coat classique et deux couches de Sèche Vite. Puis avant que celui-ci ne soit totalement sec, avec un morceau de papier assez épais, j'ai fait des "tranchées" en appuyant plusieurs fois à chaque endroit. Et voilà !

Finally, I applied a layer of regular top coat and two coats of Sèche Vite. Then before it was completely dry, with a piece of paper thick enough, I made "trenches" by pressing several times at the same spot. There you go !

☆ Un Sponging Licornesque & Féérique pour le Nailstorming

Nous sommes dimanche et c'est donc le jour du Nailstorming ! Cette semaine le thème est une technique : "le sponging".

Hi girls,
We are Sunday and so it's the day of the Nailstorming! This week, the theme is a technique : "sponging".

Pour moi c'est une technique bien différente du dégradé. Le sponging, d'appliquer des vernis à l'aide d'une éponge également, mais le résultat n'est pas fondu et l'on voit les traces d'éponge.

For me it is a technique which is quite different from the gradient. Sponging is applying nail polishes with a sponge as well, but the outcome is not melted and we see the traces of sponge.

Personnellement, j'ai utilisé des couleurs pastels sur fond blanc ("Oooooo La La" de Color Club), donc j'ai quand même plutôt fondu les couleurs entre elles. Étant donné que de toutes les façons, on ne distingue pas les marques laissées par l'éponge.

I personally used pastel colors on a white background ("Oooooo La La" from Color Club), so I still kind of melted the colors between them. Given that in any case, one does not distinguish the marks left by the sponge.

Pour ce nail art, j'avais envie de quelque chose de tout doux et de féérique, c'est pourquoi j'ai opté pour cette fusion de pastels.

For this nail art, I wanted something sweet and magic, that's why I opted for this fusion of pastels.

À y réfléchir, maintenant, je me dis que ce n'était pas la meilleure option car on ne distingue pas du tout les traces de l'éponge. Mais c'et la première fois que je réalise cette technique donc je ferais mieux la prochaine fois ;)

I think it was not the best option because we do not distinguish the sponge strokes at all. But this is the first time I realize this technique so I would do better next time ;)

Pour les couleurs licornesques, j'ai utilisé mes pastels chouchous de la collection Fruits Pastels de chez Models Own : le rose "Strawberry Tart", le mauve "Grape Juice", le mint "Apple Pie" et le bleu "Blueberry Muffin", et j'ai patouillé à l'aide d'une éponge.

For the Unicorny // Fairy colors, I used my favorite pastels from the Fruit Pastels collection from Models Own : the pink "Strawberry Tart", the lilac "Grape Juice", the mint "Apple Pie" and the blue "Blueberry Muffin", then I sloshed with a sponge.

Ensuite, pour donner un côté plus féérique, j'ai ajouté une couche de mon top coat adoré "Fairy Dust" de China Glaze. Certaines photos sont un peu floutées pour que tu puisses observer l'effet pailleté enchanté !

Then to give a more magical note, I added a coat of my beloved gittery top coat "Fairy Dust" from China Glaze. Some pics are a bit blury so you can see the fairy // glittery effect.
