༄ Nailstorming : "Mardi Gras"

Aujourd'hui on se retrouve pour un double rendez-vous : le traditionnel Nailstorming dominical qui cette semaine a pour thème "Mardi Gras". Mais aussi pour le RDV des NPA qui ce mois-ci est un Twinnails dont le thème est Carnaval // Watermarble.

Hi girls,
Today we meet for a double date: the traditional Sunday Nailstorming which theme is "Mardi Gras". But also for the NPAs Rendez-Vous which this month is a Twinnails whose theme is Carnival // Watermarble.

Le carnaval ne m'inspire pas des masses, je me suis dit que je n'aurai pas envie de faire deux nail arts distincts pour l'occasion. C'est pourquoi j'ai décidé de faire d'une pierre deux coups avec ce nail art !

Carnival does not inspire me much, I thought I wouldn't want to do two distinct nail arts for the occasion. That's why I decided to make two strokes with this nail art!

Pour le RDV des NPA, nous devions nous inspirer d'un nail art et le réaliser en binôme. J'ai réalisé ce nail art avec ma copine Boulilulu qui doit être l'une des premières NPA que j'ai rencontrée, il y a un moment maintenant !

For the NPAs Rendez-Vous, we had to be inspired by a nail art and realize it in pairs. I realized this nail art with my friend Boulilulu who must be one of the first NPAs I met, a while ago now!

Après avoir écumé le net à la recherche de watermarble qui faisaient Carnaval, nous nous sommes mises d'accord pour reproduire un nail art de Melyne Nail Art que tu peux revoir ici. Comme nous sommes désormais voisines (mais vraiment collées !), nous nous sommes organisé une session NPA vendredi après-midi dernier, pour pouvoir réaliser le nail art ensemble.

After scouring the net in search of a Carnival look watermarble, we agreed to reproduce a nail art from Melyne Nail Art that you can see here. Since we are now neighbors (really close ones!), we organized a NPA session last Friday afternoon, to be able to realize the nail art together.

Si tu te demandes pourquoi le bleu est devenu vert, c'est parce que je n'aime pas poser du blanc en base. Et évidemment, je n'avais pas pensé que bleu + jaune = vert ! En base, j'ai posé "Light Of Day" de Pipe Dream Polish, puis j'ai nail arté avec le bleu "All In", et le magenta "V.I.P. Pass".

If you wonder why the blue has become green, it's because I do not like to put a white base. And of course, I didn't think that blue + yellow = green! As a base, I laid "Light Of Day" from Pipe Dream Polish, then I nail arted with the blue "All In", and the magenta "V.I.P. Pass".

Ça ne rend pas aussi bien que ce que j'aurai souhaité, mais j'aime quand même le résultat ! Ci-dessous tu peux voir différentes étapes de notre session watermarble et nos deux nail arts côte à côte ! J'espère que ça te plaît. Bisous ♥

Aujourd'hui, on continue notre série estivale avec la collection de vernis néons "A Night In Vegas" de Pipe Dream Polish, et c'est au tour du bleu néon "All In" de se montrer !

Today, our summer series continues with the collection of neon nail polishes "A Night In Vegas" from Pipe Dream Polish, and it is now the turn of the neon blue "All In" to show off !

"All In" est le bleu néon de la collection. C'est un bleu intense et vif au léger shimmer rose qui ne se voit que très peu une fois posé.

"All In" is the blue neon of the collection. It is a bright and vibrant blue with a light pink shimmer that we barely see once laid.

Ce vernis s'appelle "All In" et fait référence à Las Vegas comme tous les vernis de la collection, mais honnêtement, il pourrait tout aussi bien s'appeller "Le Grand Bleu" non ? Je l'adore !

This nail lacquer is named "All In" and refers to Vegas like all the nail polishes of  the collection, but honestly, it might as well be called "Le Grand Bleu" right ? I love it !

Il est opaque en trois fines couches. Tous les vernis de la collection ont un shimmer et un fini mat, mais une fois top coatés, on dirait du gel.

It is opaque in three thin layers. All the polishes from the collection have a shimmer and a matte finish, but once top coated, it looks like gel.

Je l'ai déjà utilisé pour nail arter par ici. Et comme tous les vernis de la collection, c'est un bonheur à poser, sa texture est hyper agréable !

I already used it for a nail art right here. And like all the polishes of the collection, it is a joy to lay, its texture is super nice !

J'avais acheté la collection entière directement sur le site de la marque l'année dernière avant la folie générale, d'ailleurs tu pourras constater que j'ai encore les anciennes étiquettes ;-)

♲ Journée de l'Environnement // Nailstorming

Aujourd'hui c'est dimanche, et c'est donc le jour du nailstorming. Cette semaine, le thème est la journée de l'environnement.

Hello girls,
Today is Sunday, so this is the day of the nailstorming. This week the theme is World Environment Day.
 

Je suis malade depuis 10 jours, alors je serai assez brève aujourd'hui. Pour représenter l'environnement, j'ai eu envie de représenter la planète Terre de façon abstraite.

I've been sick for 10 days, so I will be fairly brief today. To represent the environment, I wanted to abstractly represent the planet Earth.
 

Pour cela, je me suis dit qu'il n'y avait pas de meilleure technique que le watermarble. Je me suis dit aussi que ça collait aussi au thème !

To do so, I thought there was no better technique than the watermarble. I also thought that it would perfectly stick to the theme too !
 

Alors j'ai sorti mes néons chouchous de Pipe Dream Polish, le bleu "All In" et le vert "High Roller", pour représenter les couleurs prédominantes de notre planète, et je les ai associées pour réaliser un watermarble.

So I took out my darlings neon Pipe Dream Polish, the blue "All In" and the green "High Roller" to represent the predominant colors of our planet, and I have teamed them up to do a watermarble.

Alors qu'en penses-tu ? J'aime beaucoup le résultat, et je trouve que les couleurs correspondent bien à celles de la Terre.

So what do you think ? I quite love the result, I think that the colors match those of the Earth.

Allez, je retourne dans mon lit, sous la couette avec mon chat et des séries !

⚧ La Team Aux Couleurs de l'Arc en Ciel

Aujourd'hui pas de nailstorming mais un nail art réalisé pour un complot. Et cette fois, pas d'anniversaire, on est là pour parler de La Journée internationale contre l’homophobie et la transphobie.

Hello girls,
Today no nailstorming, but a nail art done for a plot. And this time, no birthday, we are here to talk about the International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia.
 

Je ne veux pas faire débat. Mais, je n'arrive pas à comprendre comment est-il possible que le racisme ou l'homophobie existent encore à notre époque ?

I do not want to debate. But, I do not understand how is it possible that racism or homophobia are still existing nowadays ?
 

Malheureusement il existera toujours des personnes contre quelque chose, et c'est pourquoi à mon échelle, j'ai souhaité participer à ma façon à cette journée.

Unfortunately there will always be people against something, which is why on my scale, I wanted to participate in my way to that day.

D'ailleurs savais-tu que La Journée internationale contre l’homophobie et la transphobie à lieu le 17 mai, car c'est le jour ou l’homosexualité a été retirée de la liste des maladies mentales le 17 mai 1990 par l’Organisation mondiale de la santé (OMS). Consternant, non ?

Besides, did you know that The International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia is held on May 17, as this is the day that homosexuality was removed from the list of mental illnesses May 17th 1990 by the Organization World Health (OWH). Appalling, right ?

Enfin bref, pour revenir sur une note plus futile, j'ai décidé de m'inspirer du drapeau multicolore représentatif du mouvement LGBT, mais qui est aussi utilisé comme drapeau pour la paix.

Anyway, to get back on a more frivolous note, I decided to take my inspiration from the representative multicolored flag of the LGBT movement, which is also used as a flag for peace.
 

J'ai donc utilisé mes vernis chouchous du moment : la collection néon "A Night In Vegas" de Pipe Dream Polish. J'ai utilisé tous les vernis de la collection sauf le turquoise qui n'est pas présent sur le drapeau.

So I used my darlings nail polishes of the moment : the neon collection "A Night In Vegas" from Pipe Dream Polish. I used all the nail lacquers from the collection except the teal which is not present on the flag.

J'ai réalisé un dégradé vertical bicolore par ongle. Sur le pouce : "On The List" et "110 Degrees", sur l'index "110 Degrees" et "Light of Day", sur le majeur "Light Of Day" et "High Roller", sur l'annulaire, "High Roller" et "All In", et pour terminer sur l'auriculaire, "All In" et "V.I.P. Pass".

I did a two-tone vertical gradient by nail. On the thumb : "On The List" and "110 Degrees", on the index "110 Degrees" and "Light of Day", on the middle finger "Light Of Day" and "High Roller" on ring finger, "High Roller" and "All In", and finally on the little finger, "All In" and "V.I.P. Pass".

Et pour terminer, j'ai ajouté des paillettes pour égayer et unifier le tout. J'ai utilisé mon top coat pailleté holographique " Fairy Dust" de China Glaze.

And finally, I added some glitter to brighten and unify teverything. I used my beloved holographic glitter top coat "Fairy Dust" from China Glaze.

Super, Nina aime le bleu, Amina aime le bleu, et moi aussi j'aime le bleu !! Il y à des fois ou l'on ne sait pas trop ce que l'on va faire, la, j'ai eu assez rapidement le nail art que j'allais réalisé en tête.

Great, Nina likes blue, Amina likes blue, and I do like blue too !! Sometimes, we don't really know what we will do, this time, I had rather quickly in mind the nail art I was going to do.

Tout d'abord, j'ai posé trois couches du sublime vernis néon teal "Happy Hour" de la collection "A Night In Vegas" de Pipe Dream Polish. C'est un peu les vernis néons les plus cools qui existent, super couleurs, et super agréables à poser !

First of all, I put three coats of the sublime neon teal nail polish "Happy Hour" from the collection "A Night In Vegas" from Pipe Dream Polish. It's kind of the coolest neon nail lacquers existing, great colors and terrific application !

J'ai ensuite réalisé un gradient avec un deuxième vernis de la collection "A Night In Vegas" : le bleu "All In", et toujours "Happy Hour".

Then I realized a gradient with a second nail polish from the collection "A Night In Vegas" the blue one "All In", and still "Happy Hour".
 

Puis, j'ai réalisé un stamping blanc par-dessus. Pour cela, j'ai utilisé mon vernis blanc de stamping "Stamp Me ! White" d'essence, et la plaque de stamping BP-L 006 venant de chez Née Jolie et que tu peux te procurer avec -10% en utilisant le code promo DQX10.

☬ Holi // Nailstorming

Namaste les filles,
On se retrouve en ce dimanche pour le traditionnel nailstorming. Et cette semaine, le thème me tient particulièrement à coeur puisqu'il s'agit d'Holi. L'année dernière, j'avais proposé le thème, et je suis ravie de voir que Mademoiselle Emma, a décidé de le renouveller cette année !

Here we are on this Sunday for the traditional nailstorming. This week, the theme is close to my heart because it is Holi. Last year, I had proposed the theme, and I am thrilled to see that Mademoiselle Emma has decided to renew it this year !
 

Pour celles qui me suivent, namoureux est d'origine indienne, cela me fait dont toujours super plaisirs de réaliser des nail arts d'inspirations, indiennes. Je ne pourrais faire que ça à vrai dire, tellement, je suis fan de cet univers coloré, chaleureux, et de ces motifs.

For those who follow me my BF is has indian origins, so that always makes me great pleasure to make an Indian inspired nail art.To be honest, I could do only that, I'm such a fan of this colorful, and warm universe, and of those patterns.

Mais je pense que tu te lasserais à force, même si j'essaie toujours de varier mes nail arts indiens. Comme pour mon nail art de l'année dernière, j'ai hésité entre faire quelque chose vraiment en rapport avec Holi, ou plus général type bollywood.

But I guess you would be fed up in the end, even though I am always trying to vary my Indian nail arts. Just like for my last year's nail art, I hesitated between doing something really related to Holi, or most general bollywood type.

Finalement, je me suis dit que je n'aurai pas d'autre occasion avant l'année prochaine de refaire un nail art pour Holi, alors que je peux faire des nail arts indiens toute l'année. Je me suis donc orientée vers un nail art très coloré pour célébrer Holi.

Finally, I said to myself that I would not get another chance until next year to make another nail art for Holi, while I can make nail Indian arts throughout the year. So I geared towards a colorful nail art to celebrate Holi.

Pour cela, j'ai sorti mes vernis les plus colorés de ma collection : la collection de vernis néons "A Night In Vegas" de Pipe Dream Polish. Dont voici la liste : le rose "On The List", le corail "110 degrees", le jaune "Light Of Day", le vert "High Roller", le teal "Happy Hour", le bleu "All In", et enfin le violet "V.I.P. Pass".

To do that, I took my most colorful nail polishes from my stash : the neon nail polish collection from Pipe Dream Polish : "A Night In Vegas". As listed below : the pink "On The List", the coral "110 degrees", the yellow "Light Of Day", the green "High Roller", the teal "Happy Hour", the blue "All In", and finally the purple "V.I.P. Pass".

En base, j'ai tout d'abord posé deux couches de "Blanc" d'Essie. Puis, après une couche de top coat accélérateur de séchage, j'ai tapoté à l'éponge mes vernis néons un à un, jusqu'à obtenir quelque chose d'harmonieux à mon goût. J'ai ensuite stampé de nouveau avec "Blanc" d'Essie, et la plaque "Explorer - 03" de Mo You. Un motif différent sur chaque doigt.

First of all, I put two layers of "Blanc" by Essie. Then, a layer of dry fast top coat, I tapped my neon nail polishes one by one with a sponge, until I get something smooth for my taste. Then I stamped again with "Blanc" by Essie, and the stamping plate "Explorer - 03" by Mo You. A different pattern on each finger.

Ça n'a pas forcément besoin d'être parfait, cela donne justement un effet d'étoffe un peu différent que j'aime assez. Au final, je regrette de ne pas avoir fait quelque chose d'un peu plus classe, mais j'aime l'esprit coloré qui est tout à fait dans l'esprit de Holi, et qui est idéal en ces jours de beau temps.

It does not necessarily need to be perfect, it gives a fabric effect a little different that I like enough. In the end, I regret not having done something a little more classy, but I do like the colorful spirit which is very much in the mind of Holi and which is ideal during these sunny days.
