ഡ True Blood 2014 de Lilypad Lacquer

Au début du mois, j'ai eu l'occasion de me rendre quelques jours à Bordeaux, et je voulais donc porter un vernis en accord avec cette jolie ville.

Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to visit Bordeaux for a few days, so I wanted to wear a nail varnish matching this beautiful city.
 

J'hésitais entre "Scandal" de Picture Polish, "True Blood 2014" de Lilypad Lacquer, "Painting The Roses Red" d'Eat.Sleep.Polish. ou "Beyond Words" de Il Était Un vernis.

I was torn between "Scandal" from Picture Polish, "True Blood 2014" from Lilypad Lacquer, "Painting The Roses Red" from Eat.Sleep.Polish. or "Beyond Words" from Il Était Un Vernis.

Finalement, ce sont mes copines qui m'ont conseillées à l'unanimité de prendre "True Blood 2014", et comme je les ai écoutées, c'est celui que j'ai choisi de porter durant mon séjour.

Finally, these are my friends who advised me unanimously to take "True Blood 2014" and as I have listened to them, this is the one I chose to wear during my stay.
 

Avec du recul, je ne regrette absolument pas de les avoir écoutées, c'était le vernis parfait pour l'occasion. Et voilà, aujourd'hui, je le partage avec toi.

With hindsight, I have absolutely no regrets having listened to them, it was the perfect nail lacquer for the occasion. And here it is, today let me share it with you.

Il faut savoir qu'il y à plusieurs versions de "True Blood". Une première version avec étiquette blanche sortie en exclusivité chez Norway Nails. Ce vernis a rencontré tellement de succès, que Nicole (la créatrice de Lilypad Lacquer) en a ressorti une nouvelle version légèrement différente.

You should know that there are several versions of "True Blood". A first version with a white label was released exclusively at Norway Nails. This polish encountered so much success, that Nicole (the creator of Lilypad Lacquer) has done a new slightly different version.
 

Malheureusement, je ne possède pas la première version, mais je suis déjà bien satisfaite de posséder la version 2014. Nicole a d'ailleurs sorti tout un trio consacré à la série True Blood, composé donc de "True Blood 2014", mais aussi de "Bite Me" et "Immortal Soul".

Unfortunately I do not own the first version, but I'm already very satisfied to have the 2014 version. Nicole has released a whole trio dedicated to the True Blood show, composed of "True Blood 2014", but also of "Bite me" and "Immortal Soul".

Je n'ai pas "Bite Me", car il ne me plaisait pas plus que ça, mais "Immortal Soul" est lui aussi une tuerie. La version de "True Blood 2014" a une étiquette rouge.

I do not have "Bite Me" because I did not like it more than that, but "Immortal Soul" is also to die for. The version of "True Blood 2014" has a red label.
 

Pour en revenir au vernis en lui-même, il s'agit d'un violet // pourpre // prune // aubergine // bordeaux, très foncé, très profond. Il a tellement de facettes, il est impressionnant.

Getting back to the nail varnish itself, this is a purple // plum // crimson // eggplant // bordeaux, very dark, very deep. It has so many facets, it is really impressive.
 

Il est scatter holo avec un color shift rosé // prune selon la lumière. Il est limite opaque en une couche, mais j'en ai quand même posé deux. Je crois bien que c'est mon Lilypad Lacquer préféré, et je vous conseille à toutes de l'ajouter à vos vernithèques !!

It is a scatter holo with a pink // plum color shift depending on the light. It is almost opaque in one layer, but I still asked two. I believe that this is my favorite Lilypad Lacquer, and I suggest you all to add it to your stash !!
 

⊞ Red Velvet Cake by Petal Polish

Comme je vous l'ai annoncé hier lors de ma revue de la "What's In-die Box ?" du mois de juin, j'ai eu un un OOAK glissé dans ma box ! Comme je n'ai que 5 doigts, je ne pouvais pas le swatcher avec les autres, et puis s'agissant d'un vernis bonus, j'ai décidé de le poser seul.

As I told you yesterday in my review of the June's "What's In-die Box ?", I had a OOAK nail polish added to my box ! And as I only have five fingers, I could not have swatched it with the others, and then as it is a bonus nail varnish, I've decided to put it on its own !

Pour commencer, tu dois peut-être te demander ce qu'est un OOAK ? Il s'agit en fait de l'acronyme de One Of A Kind, qui signifie : unique en son genre, cela veut dire que c'est un vernis en exemplaire unique, que c'est le seul au monde !!!
To begin with, you might wondering what is a OOAK ? This is actually an acronym for One Of A Kind, which means unique, that means that this is a varnish in a single copy, this is the only one in the world !!!
 

J'ai vraiment eu de la chance de tomber sur l'un des 18 vernis distribués aléatoirement, et pour cela, merci Peita, et merci Christine (créatrices respectives de la "What's In-die Box ?", et de la marque Petal Polish).

I really was lucky to fall on one of the 18 randomly gifted polish, and for that, thank you Peita, and thank you Christine (respective creators of the "What's In-die Box ?", and of the brand Petal Polish).

J'ai donc eu le vernis que voici : "Red Velvet Cake" de Petal Polish. J'ai trouvé le nom chouette car il fait référence à l'anniversaire des deux ans de la "What's In-die Box ?", et ce n'est pas forcément le cas des 17 autres.

So I had the following nail polish : "Red Velvet Cake" from Petal Polish. I found the name pretty cool because it makes reference to the two-year anniversary of the "What's In-die Box ?" And that's not necessarily the case with the 17 others.

En effet, pour celles qui l'ignorent, le Red Velvet Cake est un célèbre gâteau rouge à étages américain. Je n'en ai jamais mangé, d'une part parce qu'en France, ce n'est pas aisé d'en trouver, et d'autre part, je ne suis pas trop sucrée à part les bonbons ;-)

Indeed, for those who are unaware, the Red Velvet Cake is a famous American red layer cake. I have never ate it, first of all because in France, it is not easy to get some, and second of all, I'm not such a sweets addict, except for candies ;-)
 

Enfin bref, quand j'ai commencé à poser "Red Velvet Cake", je ne savais pas qu'il avait également une texture Velvet !! Je ne m'en suis rendue compte qu'à la pose de la deuxième couche !!

Anyway, when I began to lay "Red Velvet Cake" I did not know he also had a Velvet texture !! I only noticed when I've started to put the second layer !!

Et ça, je trouve que c'est absolument génial, ça frise le génie !! Je n'avais pas de vernis à la texture velours, mais là je trouve que c'est vraiment parfaitement adéquat au nom et à l'occasion. Et bien qu'il soit un peu épais et pas des plus agréables à poser, j'aime beaucoup ce fini mat et velouté.

And that, I think it is absolutely brilliant and genuine !! I did not had any velvet nail polish, but now I think it's really perfectly adequate to the name and the occasion. And although if it is a bit thick and not the most pleasant to put, I love this mat, smooth and velvet finish.

Il est opaque en deux / trois couches. Les vernis Petal Polish sont disponibles à la vente sur la boutique Etsy de la marque, mais ne sont malheureusement vendus qu'en Australie et aux USA pour l'instant.

It is opaque in two to three layers. The Petal Polish nail lacquers are available for purchase on the Etsy shop of the brand, but are unfortunately sold in Australia and USA for now.

Et oui, je suis déjà de retour 15 minutes après mon précédent post !! Mais aujourd'hui, c'est la fiesta chez les NPA puisqu'on célèbre un deuxième anniversaire !

Hello again girls !!!
Yes, I am back already 15 minutes after my previous post !! But today it is the fiesta among NPA since we celebrate a second birthday ! 

Et celui-là, je ne pouvais vraiment pas le rater, puisque c'est celui de ma copine Sabine, alias "La Pintade Geek". Je connais Sabine grâce à un concours qu'elle a gagné sur mon blog.

And this one, I really could not miss it, since it's the one of my pal Sabine, aka "La Pintade Geek". I know Sabine thanks to a contest she won on my blog.

Depuis ce jour on a sympathisé, on se rend des services, on s'échange, on s'achète des vernis, même si on habite tous les deux à l'opposé l'une de l'autre !! On discute de tout et de rien à des heures pas possible avancées dans la nuit !

From that day we befriended, we give ourselves favors, we start exchanging and buying nail polishes to each other, even if we both lived opposites sides of France !! We discuss this and that at impossible late hours in the night !

Et puis depuis quelques mois, Sabine a ouvert sa petite caverne d'Ali Baba, sa boutique de vernis à ongles : "My Kingdom For Glitters" que je consulte régulièrement pour voir si je vais faire fumer ou non la CB !

And, since the past few months, Sabine opened her little Ali Baba's cave, her nail polish shop : "My Kingdom For Glitters" which I regularly check to see whether I'm going to ruin me or not !

Pour ce complot, le thème était un hommage à son pseudo : "La Pintade Geek". On devait réaliser un nail art de basse-cour // ferme...

For this plot, the theme was a tribute to her nickname, "La Pintade Geek" (The Geek Guineafowl). We had to make a nail art farmyard // farm ...

 
Perso, j'ai joué sur le côté superficiel et cagole de la pintade. Je trouvais ça rigolo, et puis comme nous sommes des filles qui ne se prennent pas la tête, je pense que ça la fera marrer. D'ailleurs, j'attends toujours ma morue !!

Personally, I played on the superficial side of the guinea fowl. I thought it was funny, and since we are girls who love to have fun, I think it will make her laugh. Besides, I still waiting for my cod !!

J'ai en plus choisi comme vernis de base le magnifique "Glitterberry", un vernis de la marque Eat.Sleep.Polish. vendu en exclusivité dans sa boutique "My Kingdom For Glitters". J'ai d'ailleurs prévu une revue sur cette boutique depuis longtemps, mais je n'ai pas assez de temps !

I have increasingly chosen as a base color the magnificent "Glitterberry" a nail varnish by  Eat.Sleep.Polish. exclusively sold in her shop "My Kingdom For Glitters". I also scheduled a review of this shop a long time ago, but I do not have enough time !

J'ai ensuite utilisé une technique que je n'avais pas réalisée depuis longtemps : le feathers nails. D'ailleurs, je ne me souvenais pas que cette technique était aussi chiante à réaliser, mais c'était pour la bonne cause !

Then I used a technique that I did'nt done for a long time : feathers nails. Besides, I did not remember that this technique was such a pain in the ass, but that was for a good cause !

♡ Valentine by Enchanted Polish

Excellente Saint-Valentin à toutes et à tous ! Aujourd'hui, j'étais un peu "obligée" de vous présenter ce jolis vernis rouge d'Enchanted Polish au doux nom de "Valentine".

I wis you an excellent Valentine's Day to you all ! Today I was a bit "compelled" to introduce you this beautiful red nail lacquer from Enchanted Polish lovely named "Valentine".

"Valentine" est l'un des premiers vernis à la texture crème d'Enchanted Polish avec "Sweet Mint" et "Paint It Black", et j'ai jugé logique de te le présenter en cette fête des amoureux.

"Valentine" is one of the first creamy textured nail polish sold by Enchanted Polish along with "Sweet Mint" and "Paint It Black" and I have thought it would make sense to wear it today.

De par son nom évidemment, mais également de par sa sublime couleur qui est vraiment idéale à porter en cette occasion. (Tu me diras, c'est pas pour rien qu'il s'appelle comme ça !!)

Due to its name of course, but also due to its gorgeous color which is really perfect to wear on this occasion. (You will say, it's not without reason that it is called that way !!)
 

"Valentine" est un sublime rouge sang à la texture crelly (mi-crème, mi-jelly!). Il est opaque en deux couches et n'est pas épais.

"Valentine" is a sublime blood red with a crelly texture (half crème, half jelly!). It is opaque in two layers and is not thick.

J'avais un peu peur quand j'ai vu que Chelsea sortait des vernis crèmes.  Non pas que je n'aime pas ça, mais, étant donné que les derniers Enchanted Polish étaient plutôt relativement épais, voire pâteux, je me suis dit que pour des vernis crèmes, ce serait encore pire !

I was a bit scared when I saw that Chelsea released crème nail polishes. Not that I do not like that, but since the last Enchanted Polish were rather relatively thick or pasty, I said to myself that for vrèmes nail varnishes, it would be even worse!

Pour l'instant, je n'en ai posé que deux sur les 6, et malheureusement "Paint It Black" est assez épais. En revanche, ce fût un plaisir de poser "Valentine".

For the moment I have put only two out of the 6, and unfortunately "Paint It Black" is quite thick. However, it was a pleasure to use "Valentine".

J'ai eu de la chance de tomber dessus sur le site de la marque au bon moment, et j'ai réussi à attraper les 6 crèmes ! J'étais sceptique au début, mais au final, je suis plutôt contente de les avoir dans ma vernithèque.

I was fortunate enough to fall on the brand's website at the right time, and I managed to catch the 6 crèmes ! I was a bit skeptical at first, but in the end I'm pretty happy to have them all, among my gigantic stash.

Je ne suis en plus pas du tout une fan de vernis de nuances rouges, celui-ci était donc celui qui me tentait le moins des 6. Mais après l'avoir posé, je suis conquise ! Elle est vraiment forte cette Chelsea !

I'm not a fan of red shades nail varnishes at all, so that one was the one from the 6 which I was the less into. But after puting, I love it ! Chelsea really rocks !

Apparemment, Chelsea à annoncé qu'elle ressortirait les crèmes. Donc si tu les as ratés, je te suggère de surveiller le site. Maintenant quand est-ce qu'ils ressortiront, ça, c'est une autre histoire ! Pourquoi pas aujourd’hui pour la Saint-Valentin ?

It seems that Chelsea announced that crèmes will come back. So if you have missed them, I suggest you to check the site. Now when will they appear, that's another story ! Why not today for Valentine's Day ?
 

En général, lors d'un restock, ils sortent par série de 3, parfois 4 ou 5. Ils sont au prix de 16$ l'unité avec des frais de port de 9$ pour le premier vernis, 11$ pour deux, et 13$ pour les trois, ce qui revient à 61$ // 54€ et donc à environ 18€ l'unité. Le plus avantageux est lorsqu'il à plus de vernis, car les fdp reviennent moins cher.

They are priced at $16 per item with a shipping cost of $9 for the first nail polish, $2 per additional item, so $11 for two, and $13 for three, which amounts $61 // 54€ so about €18 per item, which is really not expensive at all for this brand of polish !

న Marsala Nailstorming

Aujourd'hui c'est dimanche, et c'est donc le jour de Nailstorming. Et cette semaine, c'est un thème que j'ai proposé à "Mademoiselle Emma" : Marsala ! Yeah !

Today, it is Sunday, so it's the day of the weekly Nailstorming. This week, it's a theme that I have proposed to Mademoiselle Emma : Marsala ! Yay !

J'ai déjà écrit un article sur la couleur de l'année 2015 d'après Pantone, où j'avais fait le swatch d' "All Tied Up" d'Essie, que tu peux revoir ici.

I already wrote a post about the color of 2015 according to Pantone, where I had the swatch of "All Tied Up" from Essie, as you can see here.

En proposant ce thème, j'avais déjà une petite idée derrière la tête de ce que j'allais faire comme nail art.

By proposing this theme, I had already something in my mind of what I was going to do as a nail art.

J'ai donc dégainé de ma vernithèque tous les vernis plus ou moins "Marsala" en ma possession. Tout d'abord, j'ai posé 3 couches du sublime "417 - Blush" de Kiko que je n'avais pas encore posé !

So I checked my stash, and took all the nail varnishes more or less "Marsala" in my possession. First, I put 3 layers of the sublime "417 - Blush" from Kiko which I had not even put !

Ensuite, j'ai utilisé : "All Tied Up" d'Essie, "364 - Dark Crimsom" de Kiko, "444 - Rose Coral" de Kiko, de nouveau "417 - Blush, "et "Or Cosmique" de Marionnaud.

Then I used: "All Tied Up" from Essie, "364 - Dark Crimson" from Kiko, "444 - Rose Coral" from Kiko and "417 - Blush" still from Kiko," and "Or Cosmique" from Marionnaud.

Puis, j'ai décidé de réaliser un watermarble !!! C'est une technique que j'utilise peu souvent, car je n'arrive jamais à faire les formes que je veux, et que ça m'énerve de passer plus de temps à nettoyer qu'à nail arter.

Then, I've decided to make a watermarble !!! This is a technique I don't use really often, because I never succeed to do the shapes I want, and it annoys me to spend more time cleaning up than nail art.

Mais c'est tout de même une technique dont j'aime énormément le résultat même si dans mon cas il est toujours approximatif !

But it is still a technique whom I absolutely love the outcome, even though if in my case it is always approximative !

Après avoir effectué mon watermarble, j'ai tout simplement ajouté quelques paillettes, à l'aide d'un de mes top coats chouchous offert par ma blopine Boulilulu : "Time For Romance" d'Essence.

After making my watermarble, I simply added some glitter, using one of my darling top coat offered by my blogger pal Boulilulu : "Time For Romance" from Essence.

Et voilà le résultat !! Je dois dire que je suis plutôt contente, c'est loin d'être parfait mais je crois que j'arrive de plus en plus à dompter cette technique, et j'aime beaucoup l'effet boisé / marbré que ça a pu donner ici.

And here's the result !! I must say that I'm pretty happy, it's far from being perfect but I think I get more and more gifted with this technique, and I love the wooded / marbled effect that it gave here.
