♪ La La Land // Enchanted Polish

Aujourd'hui sort en salles le film "La La Land" de Damien Chazelle avec Ryan Gosling et Emma Stone. Je ne sais pas si j'irai le voir, mais je me suis dit que c'était l'occasion parfaite pour porter le vernis "La La Land" d'Enchanted Polish.

Today the movie "La La Land" by Damien Chazelle is released (in France) with Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. I do not know if I will go watch it, but I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to wear the nail polish "La La Land" from Enchanted Polish.

J'avais beaucoup aimé Ryan Gosling et Emma Stone dans "Crazy Stupid Love", mais je ne suis pas une fan des films musicaux américains, à méditer donc...

I really liked Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone in "Crazy Stupid Love", but I'm not a fan of American musicals, so I'll think about it...

En vrai le nom de "La La Land" n'a absolument rien à voir avec le film. Mais, si je ne dis pas de bêtises, le vernis doit son nom à la chanson "La La Land" de Demi Lovato.

In truth the name "La La Land" has absolutely nothing to do with the movie. But, if I am correct, the nail lacquer owes its name to the song "La La Land" by Demi Lovato.

J'ai quand même trouvé que ce serait sympa de le porter aujourd'hui surtout que je ne l'avais pas encore mis.

I still thought it would be nice to wear it today especially since I had not used it yet. 

Il s'agit d'un RTRP (Right Time Right Place), ce qui veut dire que sa vente n'a pas été annoncée au préalable, il fallait y être au bon moment.

This is a RTRP (Right Time Right Place), which means that its sale was not advertised earlier, you had to be there at the right time.

Il s'agit d'un beau bleu holographique avec une pointe de turquoise (teal) et un joli shimmer rose. Il est opaque en deux à trois couches.

This is a beautiful holographic blue with a tip of turquoise // teal and a pretty pink shimmer. It is opaque in two to three layers.

Personnellement, je le trouve vraiment très beau. L'année dernière j'ai revendu environ la moitié de mes Enchanted Polish. J'ai gardé celui-ci car je l'aime beaucoup !

Personally, I find it really beautiful. Last year I sold about half of my Enchanted Polish. I kept this one because I love it very much!

Comme tous les swatchs de teal, il est assez difficile d'être totalement fidèle à la couleur du vernis. Surtout que la couleur change d'un écran à un autre ! Mais j'ai fait de mon mieux !!

Like all teal swatchs, it is quite difficult to be totally faithful to the color of the nail varnish. Especially as the color changes from one screen to another! But I did my best !!

Today, I keep showing showing you the swatchs of the marvelous collection "Fairies & Princesse Part 2" from Eat Sleep Polish.

Aujourd'hui, on passe à la deuxième moitié de la collection avec le sublime "Ariel's Gizmos Aplenty", un vert-bleu ou un bleu-vert holographique qui a un joli shimmer bleu.

Today, we are starting the second half of the collection with the gorgeous "Ariel's Gizmos Aplenty", a green-blue or a blue-green which has a nice blue shimmer.

Il est plus foncé que les premiers que je t'ai montré et est donc plus opaque (deux à 3 fines couches). C'est mon préféré de la collection !! Il doit son nom à un de mes Disney préférés "Ariel, la petite Sirène".

It is darker than the first ones I showed you, and is therefore more opaque (two to three thin layers). This is my absolute favorite of the collection !! It's named after one of my favorite Disney "Ariel, the little Mermaid".

Lorsque j'ai vu les premiers swatchs, j'étais pas emballée plus que ça, mais lorsque je l'ai reçu et posé, wow un vrai coup de coeur !! C'est mon préféré avec "Belle Of The Ball" !

When I saw the first swatches I was not excited more than that, but when I received it and asked it, wow a true blow of heart !! This is my favorite with ""Belle Of The Ball"!

Cette collection est composée de 6 vernis tous dédiés à des princesses ou des fées, elle est idéale pour l'été et j'ai hâte d'arborer ces couleurs vives lorsqu'il fera enfin beau.

This collection has 6 nail polishes all dedicated to princesses or fairies, it's ideal for summer and I cannot wait to wear those bright colors when at last it will be sunny.

Il y à déjà une partie 1 à cette collection, je ne l'ai pas mais elle est composée de 5 vernis et est toujours disponible sur le site de la marque si tu veux.

✷ Un peu de Magie avec Enchanting de Picture Polish

Aujourd'hui, je t'ai dégoté un swatch de derrière les fagots, des photos oubliées au fin fond de mon ordinateur : le swatch du joli "Enchanting" de Picture Polish.

Today I dug you a swatch from the archives, photos forgotten in the depths of my computer : the swatch of the lovely "Enchanting" from Picture Polish.

En tant que fan de vernis verts, et de teal, lorsque j'ai vu ce beau gosse, j'ai été obligée de craquer !!! D'ailleurs tu peux constater que ce swatch date un peu à la longueur de mes griffes, je les garde plus courts désormais.

As a fan of green nail lacquers and teal, when I saw this handsome, I had to snap !!! Besides, you can see that this swatch a bit old to the length of my claws, I keep the shorter now.

Je sais que tout le monde n'est pas fan de cette couleur, et que ce n'est pas une nuance forcément facile à porter, mais moi j'adore !!

I know that everyone is not a fan of this color, and it is not necessarily an easy shade to wear, but I love it !!

Autant, j'ai vraiment du mal avec les couleurs classiques comme le rouge, le bordeaux, ou le pourpre par exemple , autant j'adore porter des couleurs improbables, comme du vert ou du bleu pétant.

As much as I really struggle with classic colors like red, burgundy, or crimson for example, as much as I love wearing improbable colors, like green or very bright blue.

D'ailleurs un de mes vernis préférés de la marque Picture Polish est le magnifique "Forget Me Not" un bleu myosotis que tu peux revoir par ici.

"Enchanting" quand à lui est un vert très vif avec une pointe de teal. Il a une texture jelly et c'est un scatter holographique. Il est opaque en trois fines couches.

Voici un article que je n'avais pas prévu du tout de te montrer aujourd'hui, un article qui était perdu dans les limbes de mon ordinateur : un comparatif entre les versions 2014 et 2015 de Scintealliant d'Enchanted Polish.

Here is an article which I hadn't planned at all to show you today, an article that was lost into the limbo of my computer : a comparison between versions 2014 and 2015 of the nail polish Scintealliant from Enchanted Polish.

À vrai dire aujourd'hui, j'avais prévu de te montrer le swatch du MA-GNI-FI-QUE "March 2015" d'Enchanted Polish. Seulement voilà, mon ordi m'a lâché de nouveau et je n'ai que cet article en stock.

Actually today I had planned to show you the swatch of the MA-GNI-FI-CENT "March 2015" from Enchanted Polish. But, my computer blacked out again and I only have this post in stock.

Le problème devrait durer moins longtemps que la dernière fois mais je suis quand même sacrément énervée surtout que ça ne tombe pas du tout au bon moment...

The problem shouldn't last as long as last time but I'm still damn pissed especially as it does not fall at all at a right time...

M'enfin ce n'est pas la fin du monde, et je vais bien réussir à le réparer, et surtout le plus important à récupérer toutes mes données !!! Enfin bref, assez parlé des problèmes techniques et revenons-en à nos moutons, la raison pour laquelle tu es ici après tout : de jolis vernis !!

Anyway, this isn't the end of the world, and I will manage to repair it and especially the most important to recover all of my data !!! Anyhow, enough about technical problems and let us return to our subject, why you're here after all : beautiful nail polishes !!

Bon déjà pour commencer, laisse moi te dire lequel est lequel. C'est facile, la version 2014 a un bouchon brillant, tandis que la version 2015 a un bouchon mat. Sur mes ongles, j'ai posé le 2014 sur le pouce, le majeur et l'auriculaire et le 2015 sur les deux autres doigts.

Well, first of all, let me tell you which is which. It's easy, the 2014 version has a shiny cap while the 2015 version has a matt cap. On my nails, I used the 2014 on my thumb, middle finger and little finger and the 2015 on the two other fingers.

Si jamais tu te demandes pourquoi j'ai deux versions de "Scintealliant", pour la petite histoire, j'ai acheté MA version de "Scintealliant" lors de sa première sortie chez Pshiiit en 2014 à l'époque où c'était encore un vernis mystère. Si tu veux voir le swatch de "Scintealliant 2014" posé seul, c'est par ici.

If you ever wonder why I have two versions of "Scintealliant" for the record, I bought MY version of "Scintealliant" during its first release at Pshiiit's in 2014 at the time when it was still a mystery nail lacquer. If you wanna see the swatch of "Scintealliant 2014" asked alone, it's over here.

Lors d'un réassort en 2015, je l'ai acheté pour une copine américaine avec qui je l'ai échangé contre un autre vernis super rare vendu uniquement aux USA : "Engineered To Destroy". Échange de bons procédés ;)

During a restock in 2015, I bought it for an US friend with whom I exchanged it against another super rare nail varnish sold only in the US : "Engineered To Destroy". Fair swap ;)

Seulement quand je l'ai reçu, je me suis dit, tiens je vais regarder de quoi il à l'air à côté du mien, toussa, toussa. Et là oh surprise, il y à une vraie différence en flacon !!

Only when I received it, I thought I'd check what it looks next to mine. And then oh surprise there was a real difference in bottles side by side !!

Je l'ai montré à quelques copines qui m'ont dit : "Non mais t'inquiète, c'est juste en flacon, une fois posés ils doivent être pareils !". Ça me tracassait trop, il fallait que j'en ai le coeur net !

I showed it to some friends who told me : "Don't worry, it's just in the bottle, once on the nails they should look the same !". It was botherin me a lot, I had to know for sure !

Voilà donc le résultat, la différence n'est pas oufissime, mais quand même. "Scintealliant 2014" est plus grisé par le holo et un peu moins sombre que sa version de 2015. La version 2015 est en revanche beaucoup plus épaisse et beaucoup moins agréable à poser. Alors qu'en penses-tu ? La version 2016 sera-t-elle encore différente ?

So here is the outcome, the difference is not outstanding, but still. "Scintealliant 2014" is dimmed by the holo and a little less dark than the 2015 version. Version 2015 is however much thicker and much less nice to apply. So what do you think ? Will version 2016 will be different ?

Θ Pâques // Nailstorming

On se retrouve aujourd'hui pour le nailstorming pascal ! Et oui, c'est le dimanche de Pâques, on cherche les œufs, on fête les cloches, les poules et les lapins, et on en profite pour faire un nail art pour l'occasion !

Today we meet for the Easter nailstorming ! Yay, it's Easter Sunday, we look for the eggs, we celebrate the bells, hens and bunnies, and we took the opportunity to make a nail art especially for the occasion !

Cette année, j'avais envie d'avoir de véritables œufs de Pâques sur mes ongles. Pour cela, j'ai choisi d'utiliser un jolis vernis à l'effet œuf moucheté, le joli "Magpie" de Models Own.

This year, I wanted to have real Easter eggs on my nails. To do so, I chose to use a nice speckled egg effect nail polish, the pretty "Magpie" from Models Own.

J'aime beaucoup cette collection de la marque anglaise Models Own, mais j'avais été raisonnable et je n'avais pris que le turquoise lors de mon dernier séjour à Londres (revue du bottle shop par ici).

I love this collection from the English brand Models Own, but I had been reasonable and I had taken only the turquoise during my last journey in London (review of the bottle shop here).

Ce n'est pas une couleur que l'on voit communément à Pâques, mais cela reste une couleur assez fraîche et printanière, je trouve donc que cela fait plutôt pas mal le job ;)

This is not a color which is commonly seen during Easter, but this is a pretty cool and springly color, so I think it does a pretty good job ;)

En plus son joli mix de paillettes noires (micro paillettes et paillettes hexagonales) rappellent vraiment une coquille d’œuf.

Besides its attractive mix of black glitters (micro sequins and hexagonal flakes) really recall an eggshell.

Pour réaliser les décorations des œufs de Pâques, j'ai utilisé la plaque de stamping "14 - Festive Collection" de Mo You et le vernis "Porcelain ll" de Sèche.

To achieve the Easter egg decorations, I used the stamping plate "14 - Festive Collection" from Mo You and the nail lacquer "Porcelain ll" from Sèche.

८ Un Peu de Chaleur (et de Bleu) pour l'Anniversaire de Boulilulu

Here we are today for a plot as it is the birthday of my friend Amina from the blog "Confessions of a Nail Polish Addict". 

Amina est une rare NPA que je connais dans la vraie vie, on se fait des trucs de temps en temps, et d'ailleurs on se voit la semaine prochaine :D

Amina is a rare NPA which I know in real life, we see each other sometimes, and besides we'll meet next week :D 

Je l'adore elle est super gentille, et elle a un vrai caractère un peu comme moi, par contre elle me bat niveau bavarde, mais c'est super cool parce que du coup on a toujours pleins de trucs à se raconter, et on ne s'ennuie jamais avec elle !!

I love her, she is super nice, and has a real character a bit like me, though she beats me on the talkative level, but it is super cool because we always have full of stuff to tell, and we never get bored with her !!
 

Du coup, c'est un réel plaisir de participer aujourd'hui pour son complot d'anniversaire, dont le thème est "Un Peu de Chaleur (et de Bleu) pour l'Anniversaire de Boulilulu".

So, it is a real pleasure to participate today for her birthday plot, whose theme is "A Little bit of Heat (and some Blue) for Boulilulu's Birthday".

Initialement, c'était uniquement la chaleur, mais comme je sais qu'elle adore le bleu (tout comme moi), j'ai suggéré que l'on en ajoute dans nos nail arts.

Initially, it was only heat but as I know she loves blue (like me), I suggested that we add some in our nail arts. 

Bleu + chaleur, c'est un peu difficile à associer vu que le bleu est une couleur froide... C'était pas gagné ! Mais j'ai repensé à mes beaux water decals eau qui viennent de chez Born Pretty Store.

Blue + heat, it's a bit difficult to associate since blue is a cold tone... It was kind of tricky ! But I thought to my beautiful water decals coming from Born Pretty Store.
