▨ Journée Mondiale de L'Art // Nailstorming

Aujourd'hui c'est la journée internationale de l'art, et c'est pourquoi le thème du nailstorming de ce dimanche lui est dédié.

Hello girls,
Today is the world art day, which is why the theme of this Sunday nailstorming is dedicated to it.

J'ai eu du mal à choisir mais finalement, j'ai choisi de m'inspirer du travail d'un peintre français que j'aime beaucoup : Pierre Soulages.

I had a hard time choosing but finally I chose to draw my inspiration from the work of a French artist that I love : Pierre Soulages.

C'est un peintre qui travaille essentiellement sur la couleur noire et sur la matière et les textures. Je me suis dit que c'était donc parfait pour les NPA !

This is a painter who works mostly on the black color and material and textures. I thought it was perfect for the NPA !

Tout d'abord, j'ai posé deux couches du vernis "4 In The Morning" d'O.P.I. qui est un vernis mat noir venant de la collection Gwen Stefani.

First of all, I laid two coats of the nail lacquer "4 In The Morning" from O.P.I. which is a black matt nail varnish from the Gwen Stefani collection.

Bien sûr, je n'ai pas appliqué de top coat dessus pour conserver l'effet mat. J'ai attendu un bon moment pour être sûre que ce soit sec afin de nail arter tranquillement sans arracher le vernis !

Of course, I did not apply any top coat to keep its matte effect. I waited a while to be sure it was dry to nail art quietly without stripping any nail polish !

Ensuite, j'ai travaillé de manière variée selon les oeuvres que j'avais sélectionnées, une différente pour chaque ongle.

Then I worked in various ways according to the Artworks I had chosen, one different for each nail.

Pour le pouce, j'ai voulu montrer la différence de texture entre brillant et mat. J'ai donc posé un scotch au milieu de l'ongle et appliqué mon vernis noir brillant "Liquorish Allsorts" de Models Own.

For the thumb, I wanted to show the difference between glossy and matte texture. So I placed a tape in the middle of the nail and applied my shiny black nail lacquer "Liquorish Allsorts" from Models Own.

Pour l'index, j'ai appliqué mon vernis noir brillant, toujours le "Liquorish Allsorts" de Models Own à l'aide du plat d'une pince à épiler. En plus il est parfumé à la régisse, du coup, j'ai aussi travaillé sur l'odeur !!

For the index, I also applied my shiny black nail lacquer, still the "Liquorish Allsorts" from Models Own with the flat of tweezers. In addition it is licorice flavored, so, I also worked on the smell !!

Pour le majeur, j'ai posé une bande striping tape au milieu, puis appliqué une couche de "Liquorish Allsorts" de Models Own. Ensuite, avant que le vernis soit sec, j'ai utilisé une autre bande de striping tape afin de créer du relief.

For the middle finger, I put a striping tape in the middle, and then applied a layer of "Liquorish Allsorts" by Models Own. Then, before the polish dried, I used a different tape of striping tape to create some relief.

Pour l'annulaire, j'ai utilisé un peu la même technique que pour le majeur, sauf que je l'ai fait dans deux sens différents, et que j'ai utilisé un ticket de métro pour faire les rayures.

For the ring finger, I used kind of the same technique than for the middle finger, except that I did it in two different directions, and I used a subway ticket to do the scratches...

Enfin pour l'auriculaire, j'ai posé une couche de vernis noir brillant, puis à l'aide de la pince à épiler, j'ai "creusé" des rayures dans le vernis encore frais. Et voilà !

Finally, for the little finger, I asked the glossy black nail polish, then by using the tweezers, I "dug" some stripes in the still fresh nail varnish. There you go !

On se retrouve pour la deuxième fois de la journée exceptionnellement, car en plus du complot de ce matin, c'est également le jour du nailstorming, et le thème de cette semaine est "Bonne Année !", je voulais donc absolument y participer !!

En général, j'ai rarement le temps de faire plusieurs nail arts pour le réveillon du Nouvel An, car en décembre, on se concentre plutôt sur Noël que sur le Nouvel An.

Usually I rarely have enough time to do several nail arts for New Year's Eve, as in December, we rather focus on Christmas than on New Year's Eve.

D'ailleurs, cette année, je voulais te présenter un deuxième nail art, et deux vernis idéaux à porter pour la soirée du 31, mais je n'aurai le temps de te montrer que ce nail art et un vernis !!!

Moreover, this year, I wanted to show you a second nail art, and two nail polishes ideal to wear for the 31's evening, but I'll time to show you this nail art and a nail lacquer !!! 

L'année dernière, je suis tombée sur un magnifique nail art de "Treviginti", et ça fait juste un an que j'attends le nouvel an pour pouvoir le reproduire.

Last year, I came across a beautiful nail art from "Treviginti" and that makes just one year that I expect New Years so I can reproduce it.

Son nail art est juste à tomber par terre je trouve : sobre, classe, élégant, mais tout de même festif. Aujourd'hui, je ne me suis pas cassé la tête, je l'ai reproduit à l'identique.

Her nail art is just to die for, I find it : sober, class, elegant, but still festive. Today, I choose the easy way, I have reproduced exactly the same nail art.

La plupart du temps, lorsque je reproduis un nail art, je change un détail, ou une couleur, mais là, il faut dire que je trouve qu'il n'y a rien à changer, son nail art est parfait !

Usually, when I reproduce a nail art, I change a detail or a color, but here I must say that I find that there is nothing to change, her nail art is perfect !

En base, j'ai posé une couche de mon noir fétiche "Licorice" d'essie (oui, oui, il est opaque en une couche). Puis je l'ai matifié à l'aide de mon top coat matifiant favori le "Matte Top Coat" de Nfu Oh.

As a base, I put a layer of my favorite black "Licorice" from essie (yes, yes, it is opaque in one coat). Then I mattified using my darling mattifying top coat the "Matte Top Coat" from Nfu Oh. 

Ensuite, j'ai découpé des bandes de scotch blanc, je l'ai ai collés puis décollés plusieurs fois sur ma main afin d'éliminer le plus de colle possible, pour ne pas décoller le vernis par la suite.

Then I cut out stripes of white tape, I stuck and unstuck them several times on my hand to eliminate as much glue as possible, soit didn't unstuck the nail varnish afterwards.

Enfin tout comme "Treviginti", j'ai utilisé le top coat à paillettes dorées et holographiques "Live, Love, Laugh" de Il Était Un Vernis. Cependant, je l'ai appliqué à l'éponge, afin de ne pas avoir à repasser trop de fois. Et voilà !

Finally just like "Treviginti" I used the golden and holografics flakies top coat "Live, Love, Laugh" from Il Était Un Vernis. However, I applied it with a sponge to avoid having to go over many times. There you go !

☂ Sunny London by essence cosmetics

Franchement, il ne paye pas de mine dans son flacon comme ça, mais il est absolument magnifique une fois posé !!! Et c'est grâce aux conseils de la jolie Alice du blog "cosmeto and co" que j'ai jeté mon dévolu sur lui lors d'une soirée organisée par essence cosmetics.

Honestly, it doesn't look in the bottle like that, but it is absolutely stunning once laid !!! And it is thanks to the advice of the lovely Alice of the blog "cosmeto and co" that I set my heart upon it at an event organized by essence cosmetics.

Et bien quel coup de cœur !! Je ne regrette absolument pas de l'avoir écouté. En tant qu'amoureuse de Londres déjà, je ne peux qu'aimer ce vernis.

Well this is a huge crush !! I do not regret listening her. As a big lover of London already, I can only love this nail polish. 

De plus, je trouve son nom absolument génial et correspondant tout à fait au vernis. Même si, pour ma part j'ai toujours eu de la chance lors de mes séjours à Londres, j'ai toujours pu profiter d'un meilleur climat qu'à Paris.

Moreover, I find its name absolutely brilliant and perfrectly matches the nail polish. Although, I have always been lucky during my stays in London, I've always enjoyed a better weather than in Paris.

Bref, revenons-en au vernis en lui-même. "Sunny London" fait partie de la collection "I ♥ Trends". Celle-ci est composée de trois catégories pour l'instant : "the nudes", "the pastels", et "the darks".

Anyway, let us return to the nail varnish itself. "Sunny London" belongs to the collection "I ♥ Trends". It has three categories for now : "the nudes", "the pastels" and "the darks".

"Sunny London" est un sublime gris pastel presque blanc. Il a un fini mat, on dirait qu'il est velouté. Il est opaque en deux couches et contrairement à tous les vernis mats que j'ai pu poser jusqu'alors, il est super agréable à appliquer.

"Sunny London" is a sublime pastel grey, almost white. It has a matte finish, it looks like it is velvety. It is opaque in two coats and unlike all the matt nail varnishes I could ask previously it is super pleasant to apply.

Tu peux appliquer un top coat par dessus, si tu veux obtenir un effet brillant. En revanche, si tu veux conserver cet aspect velouté, il ne faudra bien sur pas de top coat et prévoir un peu plus de temps pour qu'il soit bien sec.

You can apply a top coat over it, if you want a shiny effect. However, if you want to keep this velvety look, it won't need top coat of course, and will take a little bit more time for it to be fully dry.

J'ai déjà utilisé "Sunny London" pour un nail art dédié au Royaume-Uni que tu peux revoir par ici. J'aime beaucoup aussi son packaging que je trouve un peu plus classe que la gamme gel d'essence.

I already used "Sunny London" for a nail art dedicated to the United Kingdom that you can review over here. I also really like its packaging that I find a bit classier than the range gel from essence cosmetics.

❧ Nail Art Damask pour le #wnac2015

la semaine dernière, je vous ai parlé de ma première participation au #wnac2015 avec un splatter nail art. Et bien voici ma deuxième participation avec cette fois un joli motif Damask.

Last week I talked you about the first time I got involved to #wnac2015 with a splatter nail art. Well this is my second enter, and this time with a beautiful Damask pattern.

Le Damask (appelé aussi Damasque ou Damas) est un magnifique tissu aux motifs baroques et floraux. Je viens d'apprendre qu'il vient initialement du Vietnam, mais doit son nom à la ville de Damas en Syrie.

The Damask (also called Damasque or Damas) is a beautiful fabric with baroque and floral patterns. I just learned that it originally comes from Vietnam, but takes its name from the city of Damascus in Syria.
 

J'ai cherché dans toutes mes plaques de stamping un joli motif qui serait parfait pour l'occasion. Malheureusement, j'ai eu beau en faire le tour deux fois, je n'ai rien qui correspondait à ce que je voulais.

I looked in all of my stamping plates for a nice pattern that would be perfect for the occasion. Unfortunately, I've checked them twice, and didn't found what I wanted.
 

Je me suis donc contentée d'un motif baroque et floral également mais pas vraiment Damask :/ Il s'agit d'un motif de la plaque BM 312 de Bundle Monster.

So I settled for a baroque and floral pattern too, but not really Damask :/ This is a pattern from the BM 312 Bundle Monster stamping plate.
 

En couleur de base, j'ai posé trois couches de mon fidèle rose néon, le sublime "On The List" de Pipe Dream Polish.

As base color, I put three layers of my faithful neon pink, the sublime "On The List" from Pipe Dream Polish. 

Ensuite, j'ai donc stampé avec mon motif pseudo-Damask et le vernis noir "Licorice" d'Essie.

So, then I stamped with my pseudo-Damask pattern and the black nail polish "Licorice" from Essie.
 

Il fallait que le nail art soit holo, puisque c'est le thème principal du mois. Alors, j'ai ensuite posé une fine couche du top coat holographique "Djinn In A Bottle" d'Enchanted Polish.

It has to be an holographic nail art, since it is the main theme of this month. So I put a thin layer of the holographic top coat "Djinn In A Bottle" from Enchanted Polish.

Mais dès que j'ai vu le thème "Damask", j'ai su que je voulais un nail art mat. J'ai donc matifié le tout avec mon top coat mat chouchou : le Nfu Oh. 

But as soon as I saw the theme "Damask", I knew that I wanted a matte nail art. So I matted it all with my all time favorite matte top coat : the Nfu Oh.

Malheureusement, cela fond un peu les particules holos, mais ça donne tout de même un effet assez sympa et original je trouve ! Allez on se retrouve vendredi pour le thème "Galaxy" !

Unfortunately, this melts the holos particles a little bit, but it still gives a pretty cool and unique effect I think ! See you on Friday for the "Galaxy" theme !
 

㋡ Journée du Bonheur // Nailstorming

on se retrouve aujourd'hui comme tous les dimanches pour le nailstorming hebdomadaire. Et cette semaine, le thème est : la journée du bonheur !

we find today like every Sunday for the weekly nailstorming. And this week's theme is happiness day !

Il paraît que le 20/03, c'est la journée du bonheur, et donc aujourd'hui on fait un nail art pour célébrer cette journée ! Qu'est-ce que c'est la journée du bonheur ? Comment dire ? J'en sais foutre rien, Et-ce que ça veut dire que les autres on fait la gueule, je ne sais pas ?

Apparently the 03/20 is happiness day of, so today we do a nail art to mark this occasion ! What is the day of happiness? How can I tell you ? I don't know a damn thing about it, does that mean that the other days of the year we pull a long face, I don't have any idea ?

Toujours est-il, que j'ai décidé de faire un nail art qui à le sourire ! Je voulais faire ce motif depuis un moment, mais je cherchais l'occasion idéale. Je dois dire que mon nail art n'est pas particulièrement discret, ni avouons-le portable dans la vie de tous les jours.

Anyway, I've decided to do a smiley nail art ! I wanted to do this pattern for a while, but I was looking for the perfect opportunity. I have to say that my nail art is not especially discrete, and let's face it, neither wearable in every day life.

Pour réaliser ce nail art, j'ai tout d'abrd posé 3 couches de l'un des rares jaunes de ma vernithèque : "I Just Can't Cope-Acabana" d'O.P.I. Il est hyper vif et parfait pour l'occasion, mais c'est une plaie à poser, j'ai l'impression que tous les jaunes sont comme ça ?


To achieve this nail art, first, I put three layers of one of the rare yellows of my stash "I Just Can't Cope-Acabana" from O.P.I. It is super bright and ideal for the occasion, but it is a plague to put, I have the feeling that all the yellows are that way ?

J'ai ensuite réalisé un stamping Smiley sur l'index, le majeur, et l'annulaire. Ces 3 motifs différents viennent de la même plaque : la BM - 304 de Bundle Monster. J'ai utilisé le vernis noir "Licorice" d'Essie pour stamper.

Then I did a Smiley Face stamping on the index, the middle and the ring fingers. These 3 different patterns come from the same plate : BM - 304 from Bundle Monster. I used the black nail polish "Licorice" from Essie to stamp.

J'ai ensuite top coaté le tout, et ajouté deux strass noirs sur le pouce et l'auriculaire. J'ai pensé à matifier, mais comme j'avais mis des strass, je me suis dit que ce serait trop contrasté, alors j'ai laissé tel quel.

Then I top coated, and added two black rhinestones on my thumb and on my pinkie. I thought about matify, but as I placed some rhinestones, I thought it would be too contrasted, so I left it like that.

Alors qu'en penses-tu ? Ce n'est pas le nail art de l'année, mais au moins ça correspond bien au thème ;-) Je t'avoue que j'aurai préféré réaliser un nail art pour la Saint-Patrick, mais ne t'inquiètes pas, c'est tout de même prévu !


So what do you think ? This is not the nail art of the year, but at least it matches the topic ;-) I confess that I would have preferred to do a nail art for St. Patrick's Day, but don't worry, it is still on my to do list !
