☃ Nailstorming : "On va au Ski et on en fait tout une Montagne !"

Coucou les filles,
Aujourd'hui c'est dimanche, et c'est donc le jour de notre rendez-vous hebdomadaire : le Nailstorming. Cette semaine le thème est : "On va au Ski et on en fait tout une Montagne !".

Hi everyone,
today it's Sunday, so it's the day of our weekly appointment : the Nailstorming. This week, the theme is : "Let's go skiing and make a mountain about it!".

Alors moi, je ne suis pas du tout ski, ni sports d'hiver. Je ne suis jamais allée au ski lorsque j'étais petite. La première et unique fois que j'y suis allée, je devais avoir 17 ans et c'était avec des amis de lycée pour un week-end d'intégration.

So I'm not skiing or doing any winter sports at all. I never went skiing when I was a kid. The first and only time I went, I was about 17 and it was with high school friends for an integration weekend.

J'ai enfourché des skis, j'ai pris le téléphérique, j'ai fait 5m, je suis tombée, j'ai eu peur de faucher 14 gamins avec moi, j'ai enlevé les skis et je n'en ai plus jamais refait de ma vie.

I put on some skis, I took the cable car, I made 5m, I fell, I was afraid to mow 14 kids with me, I removed the skis and I never again put them on in my life.

J'ai passé le reste du long week-end à boire du vin chaud et manger de la raclette, ça c'est bon je maîtrise. En revanche, j'adore la montagne l'été !

I spent the rest of the long weekend drinking mulled wine and eating raclette, that I mastered. On the other hand, I love the mountain during summer!

Enfin bref, tout ça pour te dire que le ski à priori cela ne m'inspirait pas trop étant donné que ce n'est pas mon dada. Mais j'essaye de participer toutes les semaines à moins qu'un thème ne me plaise pas.

Anyway, all this to tell you that skiing did not inspire me too much since it is not my cup of tea. But I try to participate every week unless I don't like a theme at all.

J'ai réfléchi un moment, et je pensais faire un nail art japonisant avec des water decals de montagnes. Et puis je me suis dit qu'il n'y avait pas vraiment de rapport avec le ski.

I thought for a moment, and I was thinking of doing a Japanese nail art with water decals of mountains. And then I figured there was not really any connection with skiing.

Je me suis ensuite rappelée que j'avais un super chouette vernis texturé effet neige : "There's Snow One Like You" de China Glaze. Alors certes, je n'ai pas nail arté mais ce vernis se suffit à lui-même, tu ne trouves pas ?

I then remember that I had a super cool textured snow effect nail lacquer: "There's Snow One Like You" from China Glaze. So, I did not do any nail art but this nail varnish is self-sufficient, don't you think?
